I have several game crashes after a few minutes of play, since version 2.2 (without Charlemagne DLC, no custom mods)

Workaround for crash on Linux

Sorry about this, we have found a crash related to threading on Linux, this is most likely that crash, we are working on a fix.
As a temporary workaround you can start your game with the -threads=1 commandline argument, this will disable threading though, so the game will run far slower, sorry about this we are working on a fix.

No need to delete mods, if you might want to still use them in the earlier version (through the Beta tab in Steam). Just don't load them/do uncheck them when playing in patch 2.2.

Apparently this also helped ( here for a Win7 user):
Don't know if it will help you guys but delete or temp move your my documents paradox interactive folder and see if that works. It worked for a friend.
