Just Bought game - a couple of questions

#1 - I've bought the game but it doesn't seem to be installed on my PC - I have a desktop shortcut but when I double-click it, it runs steam which then runs the game. I just want the game installed on my PC so I can run it.

#2 - I've disconnected my laptop from my docking station, so I am now using my laptop screen instead of my monitor - the game crashes on startup - I assume this is caused by my screen resolution settings which are currently set for my big monitor and won't work on my laptop monitor - How do I reset my screen resolution in the game options so I can start the game up?

The game is DRM free, just go into steam/steamapps/Crusader Kings 2 and find the launcher. You can launch the game directly from there without Steam.

Thanks! So I found the game.

What I can't do now is change the graphics settings - I need to reduce it to something my laptop monitor can handle. Normally there should be an "Options" choice before you launch a game, I can't seem to find one with CKII.

Anybody?

You'll have to go into the game to change the screen resolution. And while it's definitely possible to change the resolution by changing some of the numbers in one of the files. Sadly I don't know how to do that.

You should have a settings file in My Documents -> Paradox Interactive -> Crusader Kings II. You can change settings there.

i did end up trying it not so long ago. im glad i stayed away from that DRM all these years.
