Just bought and now error message help

I just bought the game and when i click on manage > active a purple message comes up saying "
Could not activate key: This redeem code has expired. Please contact customer service."

can someone please help me

I’ve just had the same thing happen while trying to set everything up!

i just figured it out. i have a mac, i dont know about you. i downloaded steam and connected the this place and steam together. and then went at the bottom of the steam app and clicked add game and click on active product steam and put in the code thats with the game from here.
