This is the second time this has happened - the last time I just started a new game after it happened so I don't have a log from that one. I do have the logs this time, though, and I've attached the the error.log . The error.log is normally nowhere near the size that it is now with the problems happening.
Just a bit after 50 years into the game, I get to a point when a lot of strange things happen on the "next day" in the game (the day after any saved game). All my fleets are instantly destroyed, all of my admirals are killed, all but one of my transport fleets are destroyed, a lot of buildings are instantly removed from every planet (for example, all planetary shield generators are removed). The strange thing is once this happens, it will happen with ANY saved game. Even saved games from years in the past gametime - the next day in game, all of these strange things happen.
It happens if I turn off all mods. It happens on any Stellaris version. I was playing on the 2.05 beta this time, but it happens if I select the other versions as well. I have verified the integrity of the game files in Steam.
I'm happy to try anything to troubleshoot this.
