Just added the Reapers DLC, cant play ironman

I went to play as zoroastrian karen and there was no ironman symbol there.

On a side note the multiplayer box is greyed out saying game state corrupted please restart the game, which I have done so 3 times.

Should I do a complete uninstall install?

No. Go in to steam properties for the game (right click) and find the button to "verify game cache." Some file got corrupted, but you don't really need to uninstall unless literally all else fails.

Ah yes, there's also this. Though that his MP button is disabled made me think he may have a file issue that needed cleanup too.

The MP button has always been disabled when you load the game then return to the main menu.

He said he had restarted three times, which would imply not a load->return. Either way, hopefully what you said was his problem. If not, uninstall-reinstall is not the way, verify game cache is.
