Just a quick non-official FAQ for the Paradox Account Skin Pack

DISCLAIMER: I am aware that this thread was created December of 2015. However, its information is still relevant and I do not believe a continuation of this thread should be considered necro. Thank you for your understanding.

Just made this thread as a quick FAQ for a lot of the questions that get repeated in the stickied Thread from Paradox, for those seeking quick answers. I will update accordingly. This is mostly regarding content, if you just want to know how to sign up, or something isn't answered here, please go to the official thread.

Q: What is the new skin pack?
A: In Steam it is erroneously called 'Evangelical Majors', when in reality it should be named 'Catholic Majors'. It is a free skin pack gifted to those that have Paradox Accounts.


Q: What skins are included?
A: Skins included are Tier 1, 3, and 4 sprites for Castile/Spain, Poland/PLC, and Austria.


Q: How is it different from the Evangelic Union and the Catholic League packs?
A: The Evangelical Union and Catholic League packs contain Tier 2 Sprites for various countries in Europe, while 'Catholic Majors' contains the sprites listed above.


Q:When are we getting the REAL 'Evangelical Majors'?
A: Paradox released it for free on Steam on October 11, 2016, coinciding with the release of the expansion Rights of Man and is currently available for download.

Q:Where can I get the pack?
A: Originally, you could get the pack by linking your paradox account with your copy of EUIV in the start up menu, afterwards the key would be available on your account on the PDX website. However, they have discontinued this, and as of now you can get the unit pack here:

Q: Are there any skin pack renders?
A: No, there are currently no official renders for the free unit pack. However, there are screenshots. This one is courtesy of @Lyniv

No, not currently. I will update this thread if anything changes. (assuming the mods don't kill it for Necromancy. I hope they don't considering I think it is a rather helpful thread)

I've seen nothing stated about a rerelease other than "maybe in the future". At this point it's up to marketing. It was nearly a year before Evangelical Majors was released, so it may still be a while until Catholic Majors is available again.

Not to my knowledge. Even if you had verified it, they are not giving it out to anyone at the moment, so finding out wouldn't change anything unfortunately.

Is there ever gonna be a time where it's available again? Pretty cruddy for a loyal customer like myself to not get something that I was probably eligible for anyways

I would imagine at some point, yes

Did I took too many pills or those units are now actually in the game ?! Because yesterday when I was playing for Glorious Prussia and smashing those ridiculous Austrians in battle of Vienna I noticed that they were using tier 3 and 4 units from Catholic Majors units pack! Last few games I was playing in S. America, Africa and Asia so I'm not sure how "fresh" this informations is and therefore since which update they released them for everyone. However I would like to say: thanks a lot! (now I am missing only unit packs for "united nations" such as Italy or Germany, although for example Milanese (IT) and Prussian (DE) units would suit well for both of those nations).

I don’t know if it was released officially. I wouldn’t think so, as nothing was included in any patch notes and I haven’t seen any announcements.

To really check, I would look at the Spanish T4, as the unit from this pack is pretty distinctive.

Well, I liked my account to the game, but I think now there is no way to get this unit pack. It's a pity. This is the only unit pack I miss because I was late.

It has been 3 years already. Do devs not realize that those unit sprites are unavailable? They are perhaps some of the most important and beautiful sprites of all, and the game is literally unplayable for me without them. At this point I would pay any money to get them. How hard is it to put them in store, for god's sake?
