Really excited for Magicka 2!

Are the same devs working on Magicka 2 as Wizard Wars? And if yes what takes priority?

Will Magicka 2 have modding tools?

Will Magicka 2 be a console exclusive at first then be released on PC?

Different devs - Pieces Interactive makes M2 and Paradox North maked MWW. we've got plenty resources to go around for both.

Modding tools - while we always strive/want to support modding as much as possible it's largely dependent on the engine. In this case Bitsquid for both games. Currently the Bitsquid engine doesn't have a ton of mod support but we hope it will be added in the future.

Paradox has always been mainly a PC publisher. That's not going to change anytime soon. The game is Sony exclusive on the console side. PC isn't effected by that.

devillsadvocate: How about you cool it a bit ? :) Have a little more faith in us :)

I can see where compiling model/texture/animation/etc. assets down to BitSquid's format could be tricky, but your pipeline doesn't have to be perfect. Bitsquid is hot-reloadable Lua, it should be one of the easiest engines out there to create mods for. I mean in the end you're just introducing new symbols into the already-loaded Lua and programming against the Bitsquid api, which is (poorly) documented already on the web. We don't need perfect tools out of the gate, we just want some legal way to mod the game.

Well, well - sounds like you're more knowledgeable than most about this.

We're going to do our utmost to facilitate modding - but no promises right now.

Just to be clear - there are no legal problems on our end with modding stuff - go nuts with our games.
