Junctions - connections

Hi
first of all I have to admit that the game designers did great job with music. It goes sooo good along with game play and graphic. It’s really great and relaxing.

My question is: I'm big fan of Transport Tycoon game and TT uses passengers junctions/connections as key point of rising amount of passengers. For example you can connect bus+train station so to have more passengers at this station. I think it is very logical and realistic. As I've noticed it doesn't work this way in City Motion ( demo ). No matter how many itineraries I connect to close tram & bus station at the same place ( city bloc ) there is no passengers rising. So, does actually it works this way or I just want something from City Motion it doesn't have? :)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but simply making junctions won't increase the number of people on your stops, however the quicker the route the more people will use it. To increase the amount of people that use your buses/trams and such is your rating, which is done by advertising, or just simply keeping the current passengers happy.

If anyone has more or better idea of this, please correct me on it. This is only based on my own experiences with the beta.

This goes a long way to prove that there are thousands of different tastes... I didn't like the music at all and remember reading here how at least someone shared my opinion. But of course good for you if you like it :)

The ability to join vehicles at the same station sort of exists. If you build stops near each other, passengers can (presumably) transfer. To be honest, I have never followed a person and seen him/her do so.

They do. I saw it, even with metro lines with separate stations.

I had two very popular subway stations in the Open Beta carrying workers to factories and back which transfered lines at a point: a huge long single file of people climbed the stairs from one station, walked a few steps to the other station's entrance and went down the stairs. They looked like ants, and they definitely transfer. To buses and trams as well.

As an aside, I do miss multi-level subway stations though. It's hard enough finding space in these clustered little cities for a single subway entrance, let alone two or three.

Very true. I did notice, however, that you can place the entrance/exit inside a block of buildings instead of by the sidewalk or a square!

Music in games (and in general) is a thing where it is impossible to please everybody. I think music suits well for this kind of game (kinda "elevator music" if you guys know what I mean), there is no point to try to make too catchy tunes for a game like this, they tend to get annoying. Something subtle to fill the background is good.
