Btw. the "important issues" tab reflects that people don't want sudden changes from one extreme to another and even when they'd like universal suffrage, they will declare support only for landed voting as the next step towards their goal?

yep.

Noticed the same thingy with population as with Japan. Have you decided to denote population in # POPs then?

Yep.

Testers just got too confused with numbers not adding up.

I'm perhaps slightly confused, but...
Dutch Java gets conquered by Germany -> German Java
I modify game files to give cores to Thailand -> Dutch Thailand?

Yeah, that's the way it works.

Names are generated ingame, so if you conquer a large enogh territory it will name it after your country.

Wow! That is amazing! So will Canada display "British Canada" at the start of the game? Cause that's how I'm interpreting it.

That should make Africa a hold lot more word-y, and quite a bit nicer to look at.

Yes, it says British Canada at game start now. However, if you get too many different cores in a single blob it will default to continent name, i.e. if the UK would conquer the USA it would probably say "British North America"

Just the one who holds the majority? or anyone who holds enough to get over the line?

i.e. Could you get, British Canada sharing borders with French Canada or would the one who got the biggest chunk be the only one to get the name?

AND its a BRILLIANT little feature, Great idea, Great Work

It's just the majority of cores in your nation's land. It's fully possible to get "British Canada", "French Canada" and "Canada"(as an independent nation) to exist at the same time.

Sounds like something fun to test!

"Yugoslavian Nationalist" may be a necessary abstraction but it sure gets a chuckle out of me.

Its largely a post-WW1 construction, and an arbitrary exercise in nation-building. It worked quite well for awhile, but there couldnt have been many Serb or Croat seriously considering themselves "Yugoslavian nationalists" in the Liberal revolution time frame.

/nitpick

I bet those guys that met at the Pan-Slav congress of 1848 felt like real idiots trying to create a post WW1 contruction.

The name was chosen in order to try and entice a greater number of influential Slav nationalists, though ultimately this failed; the majority were in fact Czechs and Slovenes, and the Congress itself had almost no representation for the people of the Balkans. In this respect, the name is incredibly misleading as it was a poorly-organised political movement to try and gain French pressure on Austria to devolve greater powers to Bohemia. I very much doubt 'Yugoslavians' had a great deal to gain from this particular endeavour.

Austen.

So no one was interested in creating a South Slav state until 1918. Comeone think harder.

Can you release a new country named 'British Brazil' or another type of colony? (eg. let’s say you conquered a lot of land overseas, but you don't want to keep it under your control anymore, so you release it as a puppet or an independent nation)

If this is true then will it be called 'British Brazil' or 'Brazil'? Baring in mind that the original 'Brazil' may already exist.

Looks very nice either way.

Conquered country names only show if you own the territory, so if you release Brazil they will simply be called Brazil

nope, unless you add them, it's very moddable

the problem here is TAG's, I thought that it was said once that every nation on the map+ every posible nation slows down the game about 3 times the tag's is slowing down the game speed ten times

not sure what you mean. new tags should scale linear
