Comagoosie, you are right. The part in italics in my last post was taken from Amric original post. This is bacause as that scene was taking place, we have Ren Yi listening to the conversation from the outside.

Scene 1
Somewhere north of Ancona,
The arrows of the Light Cavalry were taking down his men. The commander knew to stand his ground would be suicide. Raising his sword, he ordered his men to charge.
As the enemy charged in a disorganized mass, Chen grinned. The enemy had taken the bait. Forming up his men in a wedge, Chen took his place at the head and ordered the Light Cavalry to charge
Chen Hui and his Light Calvary charged through the enemy line, leaving a trail of enemy dead in their wake. As the commander tried to rally the rest of his men, Amric leading the Free Company infantry charged into the already disorderly and close to panicking enemy. Behind the enemy line, Chen Hui had reformed his men and prepared to make another charge….

Scene 2
One Thumb, Ancona,
“Now you know the whole story of why I am here, will you come back with me to China to rescue the Emperor?” Li Tie asked the gathered Imperial Guards.
“Can we go back? We have been exiled and to return only mean our execution. Besides Emperor ZhengTong was the one who exiled us. Why should we help him?” Zhang Xiang said in an angry tone.
“Many of us have families here. This is our home now. Why should we care about what is happening half a world away?” Another Imperial Guard asked.
Li could see many of the former Imperial Guards were undecided on whether to return to China. He appealed once more to Chen Hui, “Chen, the Emperor needs you. The fate of the Empire rests on your decision. Will you go down in history as someone who turned his back on his homeland in her time of need?”
Lim Hui spoke up, “Chen, we have followed you as our leader for over a decade. Whatever decision you make, we will follow.”
Now Chen looked troubled. The Imperial Guards were now looking at Chen now, waiting for his decision…

Scene 3
Outside Chen’s house
Xie watched from his hiding place as Li Tie stepped into Chen’s house
“Are the men in position” Xie Xun asked Ren Yi.
Ren nodded, “They are all ready. We are just waiting for your orders.”
Xie took a deep breath. It was time to complete his mission, “Very well. Order the men to attack. This time, we shall not fail.”
