So Hello, this is the 3rd part of my Jornal to the city of Pireaus:
2015-06-24_00092.jpg

Watching google earth to get some inspiration forces me into a big challenge. In real big citys you will find some "bigger building districts", some Industrial/warehouse areas. And CS wont have such buildings. But for a realistic looking city, i needed them.
So i looked into some mods and downloaded every building fitting into my needs. There were most unique ones and airport addons.
such like these:
2015-06-24_00091.jpg

and so i was able to build some realistic "industrial zones":

2015-06-24_00095.jpg

2015-06-24_00096.jpg

the biggest one is still under construction:
2015-06-24_00098.jpg

And now i will show you some of my highway intersections:

and this is how we entering the city:

the next too intersections are made by myself in the esset editor, i uploaded them on steam workshop, so you can download and use them too. Just searching for John Bon Jovi. (thats my name on steam)

And in the end i will show you some stats too:

so here you can see, what size this town is and how much it will still grow:

So thanks a lot for watching my city.
Look also to Part one and Part two if you like.
more is gonna come as soon as i createt, build more. Maybe i will make another Part with some closer looks.
If you want to see some special looks, just give it a try and comment to the Journals. Look also at my steam workshop (John Bon Jovi) assets i made. mostly cards (this one too) and highway intersections, as told above.
so thanks again, your John Bon Jovi

ps: and sry for my bad english...

I really like, how realistic most parts of your city look. The harbour for example is a vivid area and not only a little peace of dock like in the core game. I hope to see some more pictures until your map is full. :)

Thanks Ohtarhal, I do like the harbor area a lot. I was getting inspired here from the real harbors of Los Angeles or Hamburg and I was trying to make it a big industrial area. In real citys the harbor is even a lot bigger than mine, but L.A. or Hamburg are much bigger citys then we are able to build in this game. (its really shocking how big LA is.....) So i think the size fitting my city very well.
But I am thinking about, making a new city sometimes with an even bigger harbor. But not befor finnishing Pireaus i think. Btw. Its actually has allready got some new districts, so it will comming some new pics in time soon.

you must have spent a lot of time planning the urbanization of your cities, this is really marvelous !
on the region view, are you playing with 9 or 25 tiles ?

hi Enzo, I played about 100hours in this city (if not more), but with alot of watching and planing.
I playing always on 25 tiles (as you might see on some of the pics). I would like to play on 81 tiles, but this mod used to be very buggy, so i use 25 to be able to build even more realistic-sized citys.
By using the terrain.party tool you can get an idea of how big real citys are. My biggest inspiration is the city of L.A. (i love google earth) but to build this city in an realistic size you would need about 2000 tiles (for real). so at least 25 tiles is recomented to get an realistic feel, i think.
