Joining the holy roman empire as Orthodox.

This is about the 5th time I've posted this, we need a faq post. Anyway: The Emp will not let you join the HRE if you are larger than him or have 8 or more BB. Aside from that there's always a 50% chance he'll let you join if you have 100-149 relations with him. If you have 150+ relations the odds he'll let you in increase to 2-1.

I suppose the reason he doesn't want large or high-BB countries added to the empire that that they could then DoW other members and he wouldn't be called.

The HRE is not a union tag, no.

I assumed he meant in regards to Orthodox nations, since that's that the thread is about. Besides, you couldn't take the decision if you or the province weren't christen.
