Recently, while playing as the Kingdom of Romagna, my poor liege (the Empire of Italia, capital in Schleswig for some reason), who had the misfortune of being Waldensian, had a Holy War declared on him over the Duchy of Romagna (in my realm). I wasn't the same faith as him (being Messalian myself), but wanted to help him out as he had basically no troops. Of course the invading armies were hostile to me, so I could fight them and siege back my lands, but beating them in combat wouldn't help with my liege's warscore.
I tried to see if I could help out, but (see screenshot) was told that my own liege was too far away for me to join his war over my territories.
Didn't post this in the bug thread as it may very well be working as intended (though, as seen on the screenshot, the fact that it only seems to apply to some wars and not others is odd). Regardless, it was bizarre and infuriating; my liege lost the war as a result as I didn't notice the situation until my liege's warscore was already -85% and ticking.
