joining HRE as hungary question

i tried to join hre as hungary through one of their missions, but hre rejected my proposal. however hungary has a mission to pu austria and if austria is the hre emperor, will me pu'ing them automatically make me emperor?

No it will not, it will simply trigger another election where the electors will pick based on standard voting criteria.
