Try to have some who have laptop with virtual memory vid cards. That was an easily fixed issue last time, but it still created widespread panic early on ;-)

(And it meant I couldn't play the demo!)

I have applied for beta testing, and since the chance I may be picked is small, I feel this is a valid statement and is directed at Johann, " Ave, imperator; morituri te salutant."

And one question for Johann, I noticed your description under your name was First Consul, and in the period we would be dealing with there were only two Consuls in the Republican Era, are you the Consul for Roma, or are you the Field Consul? Or maybe just the Praefectus Urbani.

What is the current system requirements for the Beta?

I would love to be a beta tester, but would hate to lose a spot because my PC is a bit too slow. Espacially since im considering to buy a notable stronger one in the next few days. I assume changing ones application to properly reflect system specifications is out of the picture?

IMO it would be good to have testers also with low performance PCs. That way it could be confirmed that the game runs reasonably well also with older machines.

Any idea how much work is expected from Beta-testers? I mean, if I know I'll only be able to test for about 5 hours/week should I even consider applying?

You must be at least 18 years of age

This doesn't affect me but I was curious. Is it 18 at the time you sign up, or 18 at the time you are accepted or 18 at the time the beta testers are given their first version (not sure if you mail them, or have the testers download it, or however else your beta distribution works)....

It might make a difference for that one guy who's just a few months too young, or someone else in a similar situation.
