Victoria fans (past and present testers, future players like me), let's join Meetup.com and "meet up" sometime!

Anybody here ever heard of it? It's a cool thing where you sign up for interest groups in your town and you all get together every month to talk shop or whatever. I'm signed up for several and I just did a search and found a Paradox Games meetup! Earlier today there were only 8 of us signed up. I announced this in the Hearts of Iron forum and Offtopic forum and 6 more folks signed up! yeah! I'm hoping here in Victoria, we'll get more responses from everyone.

Let's all join and "meet up" soon. I'm up there already under the name "jeffrey.engel". There's 6 fresh new names above me, thanks to yours truly.

Looks like the biggest group so far is in Calgary with 3 folks. Impressive!

I tried the "tea-obsessed witch" route.

Seriously.

I was advised not to purchase the game until December 26th, as both my birthday and Christmas are between now and then.

(Of course, considering she's also my fiancee, she probably knows something...)

She's just tricking you. You've probably been playing EU(2) and/or HOI, so she knows that Victoria equals less "quality time", so she is trying to postpone the inevitable

If you get to Christmas, and she says "Uhm, I was thinking of getting you Victoria for Christmas, but I changed my mind...", don't say I didn't warn you. It's a conspiracy, I tells ya!!

Well, either that or she really will get it, knowing I'll go out on the 26th and hunt it down otherwise. I've been known to do things like that in previous years.

Besides, it's (currently) a long-distance relationship.... we only see each other every other weekend (we each spend one full weekend a month at the other's house).

Thanks for signing up guys. I didn't start the group. Maybe it was someone who doesn't frequent the forums. There were only a few poeple signed up yesterday and now there's like 45.
