yeah probably banner units. So many questions, like how do you get them (mabe something like the raise host estate interaction or something completely different?), if they are always that small or grow larger over time (remember the +50% banner unit splendor ability?)

Clearly they're implementing a new unit-typing system where units can be arranged into different "colours" for various stat-changes. Purple units are probably a hybrid of red and blue units, and might have a synergy with, or an advantage against, yellow units. /s

Can't wait for the next dev diary.

Aand another useful thread became a Purple/Ottoblob battle
Coming back on topic, I really want to see how will this mechanic work. I have absolutely no idea about what will "banners" do.

oh god not another purplephile. Until you can show me evidence of green-users regularly reaching their historical-borders, will not take any pro-purple arguments seriously.
Blue isn't overpowered.
Also, grey should be blue.

Grey has gone too long not being blue, it's basically just a meme at this point. Why don't we talk about Johan's personal hatred of blue?

I think during the revolt of the three feudatories the Qing forces were something like 1/3rd Bannermen, around 100,000 of them, with a default size of 200 you'd need a lot of them, unless they start small and grow like CK2 retinues.
