It has been mentioned before, that some units will need specific resources. I'm not sure in which dev diary I saw it, but I'm sure I have read it before.(or maybe I was dreaming? )

Yup, I love strategic resources. Hopefully the AI values them heavily and actively soughts them out through trade/conquest.

Rome is shaping up to be the best paradox game yet. It's like a spirtual succesor of CK with some Vicky/EU thrown in for good measure.

I CAN'T WAIT ANY LONGER ARRRRRRRRRRRGH

Basically ( ;) ) that was great.

Can't wait until release. On the other hand, it's good it won't be out before Q2, otherwise my German matriculation exam (and all other exams for that matter) would go relatively less well.

He said only those things, wich are in the dev. diaries, but it was interesting to see the game as a whole thing. It looks like its almost complete now.
The projector's image was kinda bad, so you cant see all the details (and the cameraman didnt zoom in when something important happened).
I think he said severel things that weren´t in the dev diaries. For instance that salt helps the troop types, which certainly is new to me. 3:30 into part 1.

I also liked the fact that grain gives population growth bonusses, sure this isn´t new nor is it very spectacular. But if you remember the new trade system, then it suddenly becomes. Now all your big cities can have population bonusses if you have enough trade acces, so keeping and getting trade suddenly becomes pretty importment. :)

And facial traits are hereditary. YAY! Looking forward to breeding the ugliest bitch in the country, then I can use her as blackmail. Do as I wish, or you marry her :p

Also the menues and pictures look good, and the game seems nice, deep and extremly intresting. I espacially look forward to multiplayer, this new tradesystem should really make the game pretty intresting :)

in short it is the dev. dairies combined, but with video.

Anyone notice that it was weird the video takes place outside. There were cars going by and everything, a little different if you ask me.

Could it be that there was a big window between Johan and those cars ? :p

This presentation is very recent, I doubt that Johan would stand outside in just a T-shirt. And since it isn't particularly warm this time of year in Sweden !

It seems like Skåne (Scania) is not terra incognita like the rest of Sweden .

I am pleased.

Behold the all powerful Scanian Empire! Conqueror of the known world, (which consist of three little cottages at the border towards Småland)!
Seriously, the map stretches too far north.

I disagree, it is only a few provinces further out than the romans historicly got. And I don´t want to build an empire as great as Rome, I want one thats bigger ;)
