So I'm curious to get peoples thoughts and opinions on Jihad in 1.8.
The start seems to have been made easier, the mamalukes dont have a border and are much easier to ally. the larger collection of minors in Africa seems to lead to Hejaz Yemen etc getting called into more minor wars and leave you be more. In my couple of playthroughs, seems that the 2 minors you start next to, dont ally anyone early, I was able to fabricate and declare on both Al hasa, and the other guy (cant remember the name) and 100% both without either of them making allies.
While the basic strat probably stays the same, what I am most curious about is do people still think cutting off Russia is as big a deal as it used to be? with all the Extra provinces in Africa, India, SE Asia and China, is stopping Russia as important as it once was? I woulda suggest that even going exploration isnt as needed as it used to be. while free provinces are always nice, the sheer number of provinces in ROTW now suggests you probably dont need to.
So yea just curious on others thoughts on this.
