We've probably all played an early start in which Jihads trigger with a massive Abbasid blob in existence because there was a minor chiristian rebellion in tunis (or egypt in 867). Well this needs to change and here are my suggestions.
Suggestions:
1. Eqypt should not have a Jihad trigger in it until 900ish. (There are too much rebellion risk)
2. North africa should not have Jihda triggers until 867. (There are too much christian rebellion risk again)
3. Jihads/Crusades should always trigger the first Jihad/Crusade for the place that has triggered the Jihad/Crusade (Africa falls so Africa is the first Jihad, Italy falls so Italy is the first crusade etc... Otherwise it's always crusade for Jerusalem and jihad for Anatolia)
4. The crusader trait should only trigger if you have fought a battle
5. Jihads/Crusade weights need to be rebalanced (Eqypt and Africa over Anatolia always France and Germany and Italy over Jerusalem always)
6. The first few Crusades should not be called against unreformed pagans. (They're really not a threat)
If you have good suggestions please let me know and I'll add it to this list.
