Sinope very stronk. Sinope hit Romans in head.

Expanding in all directions
Game tells me to have peace time but i feel no need to as half our empire is integrated and the rest assimilating fast with 150 years of happiness bonuses backing them up.

Sinope at the end of the recent roman war.
Skärmbild (497).png

We figure out how clocks work.
Skärmbild (498).png

Some strange mechanism makes me unable to declare war even when my empire is kinda stable (note no imminent revolts), i get why it's there but i really dislike stability locking mechanics below 20 stab, let me run my country into the ground if i want to.

A puny tribe refuses to give up land since they trust rome, big mistake.
Skärmbild (499).png

Our legion met romes first italian legion on the field. We would go on and chase them down for two more battles untill they were dead to the last man.
Skärmbild (500).png

Skärmbild (501).png

Our heavy infantry becomes more competent.
Skärmbild (502).png

I swear to god i have no idea how i got 80 military exp so fast again, i got some levies wiped by rome but i have no clue if that gives military exp, possible since standing down does.
Skärmbild (503).png

Our legion with the help of some levies crushed a army more than twice their size.
Skärmbild (504).png

This brought rome to the negotiation table, rome would give up half of illyria and the unruly tribe who defied us together with some barbarian land.
Skärmbild (505).png

Together with ending roman rule (or the remnants of it) east of the carpatian mountains.
Skärmbild (506).png

Sinope in 604 AUC
Skärmbild (507).png

Saving money is always great.
Skärmbild (508).png

Strangely selucids dident wanna give away babylon.
Skärmbild (509).png

A effort was made to fortify our border forts.
Skärmbild (510).png

We kinda took babylon since selucids dident wanna give it up. Note the low ae, since ae over 50 gives a -% ae gained you might aswell conquer more if you are super high ae since stability will be in the shitter anyway.
Skärmbild (511).png

Babylon was sacked as usual but since it was a metropolis it became a city instead of a settlement.
Skärmbild (512).png
Skärmbild (513).png

Strangely enough armenia dident wanna give away their capital so we took everything instead.
Skärmbild (514).png
Skärmbild (515).png
Skärmbild (516).png

A real consideration will be had on integrating armenian, abit on the fence at the moment on that one. Roman could also be good if i intend to invade italy.
Skärmbild (517).png

All rebellions are quickly crushed.
Skärmbild (518).png
Skärmbild (519).png

Time to invade the rest of the levant.
Skärmbild (520).png

They really should stop me from sacking alexandria each generation.
Skärmbild (521).png

Somehow my legion became expert heavy infantry not sure how.
Skärmbild (522).png
Skärmbild (523).png

A spoonfull of land was taken from egypt and added to our ever growing empire.
Skärmbild (524).png

Jerusalem was spared.
Skärmbild (525).png

Tyros was not.
Skärmbild (526).png

Culture mapmode in 612 AUC
Skärmbild (527).png

How numerous each culture is in 612 AUC, thinking of integrating armenian and roman, wanted to integrate phonecian if they were 500+ pops so i could copy their traditions but it seems i either wont or ill have to do it with another culture.
Skärmbild (528).png

I could have chilled and gotten stability up but i really see no need, if you have played smart the first half of the game you are basically unstoppable the other half. You can basically conquer as much in the last 100 years as the rest of the campaign if you are willing to really push it with war on several fronts etc.

Think reuniting alexanders empire will be my current goal, i got 115 years to go and it should be possible even without winning land by the spear.

Sinope is doing very well.

Puny Rome is no match for it.

Knocking Persia and Rome out of being great powers
Sinope at the start on 612 AUC was a strange place, while externally it had never been better internally it was a wonder it hadent torn itself appart. With low province loyalty and happiness across the board it barely had any population output and almost entirely relied external factors such as trade to keep the national budget afloat.
Skärmbild (529).png

Our citizen soldiers in their levy contribute a lot of heavy infantry for our armies so moderinzation on how to best use them will increase our combat potential.
Skärmbild (530).png

Colchis is invaded
Skärmbild (531).png

We decide to let the jews in judea be
Skärmbild (532).png

Our policy has always been on helping everyone become a civilized proper greek and will continue to be so.
Skärmbild (533).png

The kingdom of colchis with it's long history has been absorbed.
Skärmbild (534).png

The mausoleum of Sinope has begun construction.
Skärmbild (535).png

Selucids are attacked.
Skärmbild (536).png

Selucids lamely give up after half a year.
Skärmbild (537).png

It is sacked as is tradition.
Skärmbild (538).png

Rebellion happens again.
Skärmbild (539).png

Rebellion dies again.
Skärmbild (540).png

Rome decided to invade dacia to reunite their illyrian land with their remnants in the east so we decided to ruin their day.
Skärmbild (541).png

While we only took a moderate amount of land we weakened rome considerably since most of illyria has been assimilated into roman at this point.
Skärmbild (543).png

Our levies continue to improve.
Skärmbild (544).png

Revolts again.
Skärmbild (545).png

Well no matter the revolt will be finished in time lets invade egypt.
Skärmbild (546).png

hey look at that another failed revolt.
Skärmbild (547).png

The mausoleum has been built.
Skärmbild (548).png

What a remarcable structure entirely in marble.
Skärmbild (549).png

Egypt is kicked out of the mouth of the nile.
Skärmbild (550).png

Alexandria is spared the usual fate.
Skärmbild (551).png

Our constant warfare leads to many benefits.
Skärmbild (552).png

Egyptians have no need to fear as we will ensure a smooth time in our care.
Skärmbild (553).png

Bohairic will be dropped eventually just wanna steal levantine traditions.

I will admit i'm mostly playing just because at this point since i wanna reform alexanders empire but it's not that fun to effortlessly roll people over. I mean i've been at 0 stability since like late 590 with only minor rebellions.

The sarmatians had largely been left to their own and indirectly protected us from other barbarians but with truces with the selucids, romans and egyptians we decided might aswell do something in the meantime.
Skärmbild (555).png

It was decided to let the dead man lie down where he was instead of move his body.
Skärmbild (556).png

Oh no a stability hit how will i manage.
Skärmbild (557).png

Our new king Arathos the second was a deeply corrupt man with medioccre skill in most governmen work and abysmal skill in leading troops.
Skärmbild (558).png

The pretenders instantly stand down more or less. The 20 stability hit was only there to punish my low legitimacy but no one actually wants to rebell.
Skärmbild (559).png

Sarmatia is conquered.
Skärmbild (560).png

Selucids is invaded.
Skärmbild (561).png

Rome is suicidal, i mean sure i got my army in the east but i'm so much stronger than him it's not even funny.
Skärmbild (562).png

We dident push the persian war as far as we could have since the romans seemingly need a more ... permanent solution.
Skärmbild (563).png

I got just under 3 times as many pops as rome and i got tech 15 vs their tech 11, i'm not sure why they do this to themselves.
Skärmbild (564).png
Skärmbild (565).png

Short game from today with some minor gains vs sarmatia and the persians but rome really wants to die it seems like. I don't even need to conquer anything westward for alexanders empire so all they do is slow down my eastward expansion. I'll really have to end them before they fuck up something for real if i invade maurya in the future.

Sinope is well on their way to being Alexander's true successor...

So far i have been very lenient with rome, even when we won we never went for their heartland of italy and only prettied up our borders abit. Rome has clearly shown that such a policy cannot work no more and we need to seek a more permanent solution for those savages.

Rebellion in babylon.
Skärmbild (603).png

No rebellion in babylon.
Skärmbild (604).png

The court decided to push for more levantine traditions at court and to draw upon the vast cultural heritage of the fertile crescent.
Skärmbild (605).png

Caucasian albania is put to an end, they had been a previous revolt against the persians.
Skärmbild (606).png

And now they are incorpirated to teh perhaps greatest empire to grace the earth.
Skärmbild (607).png

Rome is taken by assault.
Skärmbild (608).png

And rome gives in, to more permanently stop the threat of more roman invasions we decide to take the fertile po valley and latnium itself to make sure they never will be able to put up such a fight again.
Skärmbild (609).png

Rome is sacked for all the troubble it has brought us.
Skärmbild (610).png

With more levantine customs popular among the court our recent egyptian fad falls out of favor.
Skärmbild (611).png

While our heartland is far away from any deserts we nevertheless rule over vast swathes of desert and hence need to familiarize ourselves with the territory we have conquered.
Skärmbild (612).png

Persia is invaded.
Skärmbild (613).png

Egypt is invaded.
Skärmbild (614).png

Another rebellion in mesopotamia.
Skärmbild (615).png

Egypt gets kicked out of most of northern egypt.
Skärmbild (616).png

Memphis is spared the worst of it.
Skärmbild (617).png

Judea revolts.
Skärmbild (618).png

The rebellion in the east is put to an end.
Skärmbild (619).png

The judean revolt is brutally crushed.
Skärmbild (620).png

Persia is chased out of most of the persian heartland.
Skärmbild (621).png

Persepolis is spared.
Skärmbild (622).png

Only 2 more territories for alexanders empire. If i felt a rush for it another persian war and then a mauryan war would be enough.
Skärmbild (623).png

Overview of Sinope in 639 AUC
Skärmbild (624).png

Pontic culture is quite dominant.
Skärmbild (625).png

Rebellions are looming everywhere.
Skärmbild (626).png

A thought could go into integrating roman if i intend to expand into roman lands more as that culture easily will hit 2k+ in time.
Skärmbild (627).png

Quite ugly borders in the west but overall good conquests in the west, east and the south this session.

So, Rome is dealt with. I doubt they'll take that lying down, though - expect more invasions...

Another rebellion, who knew 0 stability and high war exhaustion made people suicidal.
Skärmbild (630).png

We have made sure to always pay our mercenaries and hence got a good reputation with them.
Skärmbild (631).png

The rebellion is crushed and it's leaders publically executed.
Skärmbild (632).png

Rome has to be proven a snake we cannot leave alone otherwise they probably will disturb during our future mauryan invasion.
Skärmbild (633).png

After a good 2 years of fighting Rome gets kicked out of most of mainland itally and we seperate their dacian territories from the rest.
Skärmbild (634).png

Egypt is invaded.
Skärmbild (635).png

Rebellion nearby when we invade egypt.
Skärmbild (636).png

The rebellion dies like all others before it.
Skärmbild (637).png

Anatolia which i thought was passified appearently needs some tough love.
Skärmbild (638).png

Tough love is what they got.
Skärmbild (639).png

Some border provinces was taken from egypt, we will probablly return to kick them even further south but for now this will be a nice border.
Skärmbild (640).png

Aratos the second the last kings brother takes the throne.
Skärmbild (641).png

To make a name for himself he invades persia.
Skärmbild (642).png

construction techniques are borrowed and incorporated from the levant.
Skärmbild (643).png

Ganhdhra started civil war and they seem to wanna fight me for some reason.
Skärmbild (644).png
Skärmbild (645).png

Persia lost much of southern persia and we now own a border with maurya.
Skärmbild (646).png

End of session map 653 AUC.
Skärmbild (647).png

With 74 years left untill the end of the game we have plent of time for a maurya war. The question is how far do i wanna go into india? will 1 war be enough or do i intend to make war to them more than once.

Cleaning up persia is a given but both Egypt and Rome are other options for expansion. Carthage could also be considered as a potential expansion route.

Rome has fallen far!

Sinope has almost reached Alexandrian heights...

And how Rome hath fallen - how's Carthage doing?

two decades of war
Our recent conquests of egypt and persia has set us up for reforming alexanders empire but i consider that kinda done at the moment since i would have to screw up real bad to fail at that from this position so i'm gonna expand west a good bit and see if I can pull of mare nostrum aswell or atleast peak justinian borders.
Our old ass king dies and we get his borther Pantaleon the first.
Skärmbild (649).png

Sinope is the biggest and richest city in the world.
Skärmbild (650).png

Rome has caused us so much grief over this campaign so i decide to really fuck with them.
Skärmbild (651).png

Egypt has proven quite disloyal so far with another rebellion starting in 656.
Skärmbild (652).png

We decide to invade the rest of egypt.
Skärmbild (653).png

The roman war ends with minor gains in three different places.
Skärmbild (654).png

Sicilly is taken as a staging point towards carthage.
Skärmbild (655).png

Liguria is taken to block roman connection between their islands and hispania to rhaetia.
Skärmbild (656).png

Minor carpatian lands are taken just because.
Skärmbild (657).png

Syracuse got of lightly.
Skärmbild (658).png

The egyptian rebellion is crushed.
Skärmbild (659).png

Carthage looks quite healthy but we are simply so much stronger that we could run them over.
Skärmbild (660).png

Another egyptian rebellion.
Skärmbild (661).png

Carthage is invaded.
Skärmbild (662).png

Another failed rebellion.
Skärmbild (663).png

Caucasian revolt.
Skärmbild (664).png

Yet another slaughter of rebells.
Skärmbild (665).png

Egypt is almost killed entirely.
Skärmbild (666).png

The arabians are invaded.
Skärmbild (667).png

We decide to let women inheirit if there are no sons.
Skärmbild (668).png

Carthage loses carthage.
Skärmbild (669).png

The city itself is spared.
Skärmbild (670).png

Punics are allowed citizenship.
Skärmbild (671).png

This is the tradition we went into levantine traditions for honestly.
Skärmbild (672).png

Another caucasian revolt.
Skärmbild (673).png

We decide to just take minor gains along the coast and let the natives rule themselves in the south.
Skärmbild (674).png

The revolt fails like all others before it.
Skärmbild (675).png

Third egyptian revlot this session.
Skärmbild (676).png

The horselords are invaded.
Skärmbild (677).png

Third failed egyptian revolt this session.
Skärmbild (678).png

A persian revolt.
Skärmbild (679).png

A dead persian revolt.
Skärmbild (680).png

Carthage and rome fight over hispania.
Skärmbild (681).png

Persia is invaded.
Skärmbild (682).png

Rome is invaded.
Skärmbild (683).png

Another persian revolt.
Skärmbild (684).png

A fourth egyptian revolt.
Skärmbild (685).png

We migth have been able to kill the dahae but we are content with half for now.
Skärmbild (687).png

The persian revolt is put down.
Skärmbild (688).png

Rome is kicked out of corsica, sardina and cisalpine gaul.
Skärmbild (689).png

Rome somehow won against carthage while i attacked them too. Not sure how.
Skärmbild (690).png

The sinai rebellion is put down.
Skärmbild (691).png

A anatolian revolt to spice things up abit.
Skärmbild (692).png

Persia is sent out of persia and will from now on only be a minor power in bactria.
Skärmbild (693).png

Carthage is invaded to connect our provinces.
Skärmbild (694).png

The mighty indian behemoth is invaded.
Skärmbild (695).png

The anatolian uprising saw the error of their ways.
Skärmbild (696).png

Carthage is kicked out off most of their former heartland.
Skärmbild (697).png

The indians got a civil war.
Skärmbild (698).png

Since i was at war with their revolt i migth aswell take their land.
Skärmbild (700).png

We improve our camel troops so we can go into african traditions with our integrated punic culture in time.
Skärmbild (701).png

We captured the indian revolts capital and they gave us the entire province, how kind of them.
Skärmbild (702).png

India become desperate and give heavy concessions for peace.
Skärmbild (703).png
Sinopes eastern lands in 672 AUC
Skärmbild (704).png

Sinopes western lands in 672 AUC.
Skärmbild (705).png
Culture map mode, i'm really thinking of unintegrating macedonian just so it looks better on the map even if it's stupid.
Skärmbild (706).png

I could have taken this territory in the last indian war but i saw no need since we got plenty of time.
Skärmbild (707).png

All in all some good gains in all directions against rome/egypt/arabians/dahae/carthage/india this session. With 55 years until the enddate i have plenty of time to conquer more, not a wc since i'm behind time on that and would have needed to snake more but enough time to get a alexanders empire+

Rome's bordergore annoys me.

Sinope's doing very well...

Few more wars against Rome and Carthage?

An empire on three continents
To start the session i decide to clean up persia abit. Dahae gets on the chopping block.
Skärmbild (715).png

I probablly should have picked this way earlier but this will basically make me not ever have to worry about a revolt. This is really good for mass expansion games.
Skärmbild (716).png

I have dozens upon dozens of wrong religion holy sites ill destroy.
Skärmbild (717).png

Avalitia seems to have good land ill make them share some of it.
Skärmbild (718).png

Roman hispania is invaded.
Skärmbild (719).png

Candara is invaded.
Skärmbild (720).png

The horse lords are brought to heel.
Skärmbild (721).png

The province of candara is taken.
Skärmbild (722).png

We move towards north african traditions.
Skärmbild (723).png

Rome is peaced out for medium gains, we get a foothold in iberia.
Skärmbild (724).png

Gandhara is invaded.
Skärmbild (725).png

Avalantia gives up half their kingdom for peace.
Skärmbild (726).png

Coastal gauls are attacked.
Skärmbild (727).png

Carthage is invaded.
Skärmbild (728).png

Coastal gauls were run over.
Skärmbild (729).png

Hadhramut is invaded.
Skärmbild (730).png

Some more expansion into gaul.
Skärmbild (731).png

Gandhara is defeated.
Skärmbild (732).png

So the gaulic barbarian got beat by other barbarians so i only got minor gains.
Skärmbild (733).png

Carthage gives us more land.
Skärmbild (734).png

India is invaded again.
Skärmbild (735).png

Whats left of egypt gets invaded.
Skärmbild (736).png
Skärmbild (737).png

Hadhramut and avalantia gets taken over fully.
Skärmbild (738).png

We start moving towards the horn of africa.
Skärmbild (739).png

We embrace north african influences.
Skärmbild (740).png

Well thats it we dont need punic as integrated anymore.
Skärmbild (741).png

More expansion into gaul.
Skärmbild (742).png

Major gains in india.
Skärmbild (743).png

Tsang border gore will fix.
Skärmbild (744).png

Will take out tibetian minor at teh same time.

Skärmbild (752).png

Horn of africa is invaded.
Skärmbild (753).png

Horn of africa is taken.
Skärmbild (754).png

Rome loses more land.
Skärmbild (755).png

Carthages vassal is attacked.
Skärmbild (756).png

Some tribal stuff is taken, mostly to move towards itallic traditions.
Skärmbild (757).png

Skärmbild (758).png

The last remnants of persia falls.
Skärmbild (759).png

India is invaded again.
Skärmbild (760).png

Carthage gives up minor gains.
Skärmbild (761).png

Crushing the gauls some.
Skärmbild (762).png

Some germans visits me i chase them out.
Skärmbild (763).png

Somewhat minor gains but good enough.
Skärmbild (764).png

We will just kill other gauls instead.
Skärmbild (765).png

More indian land.
Skärmbild (766).png

Tsangs vassal is invaded.
Skärmbild (767).png

The inor southern gaulic tribes are crushed.
Skärmbild (768).png

Rome is attacked to hopefully make them stop coming back each time i kick them down.
Skärmbild (769).png

Germans are mostly chased out of the steppe.
Skärmbild (770).png

Oh no what are you doing steppe bro.
Skärmbild (771).png

Romans will temporarely be given citizen right so i can copy their stuff.
Skärmbild (772).png

Dania got a revolt but we defeat both of them and chase them back to germania.
Skärmbild (773).png
Skärmbild (774).png

Minor gains against tsang and his vassal swarm.
Skärmbild (775).png

Rome is defeated once again.
Skärmbild (776).png

We took land all the way to the pillars of heracles.
Skärmbild (777).png

Rome is chased out of rhaetia.
Skärmbild (778).png

We can form alexanders empire if we want.
Skärmbild (779).png

Eastern sinope in 698 AUC.
Skärmbild (780).png

Southern Sinope in 698 AUC
Skärmbild (781).png

Western Sinope in 698 AUC
Skärmbild (782).png

I honestly think i underestimated how strong i was at 550 ish when i said i was going for alexanders empire, if i had played more hardcore this could have turned into a world conquest from that position.

The biggest mistakes i've done so far is:
1: Not willing to snake and say destroy rome early instead of taking illyria/dacia from them, i could have chased them out of itally way earlier.
2: Automated armies i basicallly only have automated armies with maybe a few exceptions when i move troops long distances or want to take a specific fort. Micromanaging this would cost irl time but would end wars quicker.
3: Honsetly taking the invention i showed at the start of this session way earlier. It's a nieche one sure but it makes expansion fuel more expansion and greatly increases the output from my pops due to them not having -50% happiness all the time.

Well, you have to admire Rome's persistence. They really don't stay down.
