Jerky Gameplay

I have 1.5 gigs of ram and this game is not running smoothly at all. I have to hover the mouse over icons for 2-3 seconds and quadruple click just to get access to menus. Is everyone having this problem, or is my computer to blame?

3.1 Ghz processor
512 mg vid card

Your computer is more juiced than mine and I do not have those problems. You're way over the minimum specs.

Did you download the latest patch and have DirectX9.0c? Also, do you have any heavy background programs running, maybe an anti-virus?

the only time mine chugs is at the end of the month, just after i load in, and i have a large empire it will chug a bit then be fine. if its constant chug i dont know, your pc is more than good enough to run it.
