Japanese Invasion of the US

So like, I've always invaded the US with Japan from Attu islands, to Alaska, to Washington. But the game definitely wants you to invade from Hawaii, seeing as you both get an event for taking Hawaii and an event for LA.

But why would you take this route really? You only have a few ships that have the range to support your invasion on the western seaboard, at least when you start out, and I find it easiest and smartest to attack near game start. Battleships and some heavy cruisers. Of course the AI isn't smart enough to load up on the western seaboard, but I don't have much MP experience and this looks like one hell of a flawed way to invade the US.

well, in MP the idea of invading USA as japan is usually not worth it even if range was not a issue.

You are too hardpressed to have a light attack army with few to no armored divisions that can try to push vs the thick of the US troops.

So even if you land on the westcoast you will be easily pushed back as you just don´t have industry and medium/heavy tanks to operate on the west coast plains. And USA can easily spam a infantary only army to hold your infantary + Artilhary spam that you used to take china.

Also west coast is not essential for the USA to keep fighting. The main USA industry is on the east coast + texas. Very well defended from japan.


Japan can benefit much more from other strategys and annoy the allies by taking out the commonwealth. + USSR in 1943.

What you have to do is send anime to the US and convert the population into weeabos so that when you invade they will see it as their rightful overlords taking control.
