India has a focus of the same name, but I don’t believe this is where it comes from. Rather I believe it’s leftover from the old original Japanese focus tree (ie. pre-Waking the Tiger). Look under the “triggered by”. IIRC there was then another focus that followed whereby it would set off a timer for an Indian revolt if the UK didn’t promise them independence at war end.

Yes, I just turned the game version back to 1.5 and it was there.

Yes, I just turned the game version back to 1.5 and it was there.

Presumably there was also a version or possibly just during Beta where the Raj didnt exist at all. There is a 'fall of New Delhi' event when Japan takes it from the UK but as the RAJ tag exists this cannot occur.
