I'll explain the lack of updates at the end of this one.
Myth
Thanks, I thought for a while that you were the only one reading this!

I don't really know. I guess because I always think of encirclements as needing tanks. I know they don't, but I just usually do tank encirclements, and since I can't support tanks on the mainland, I'm not trying for encirclements. Truthfully the resistance has been negligible expect where communist China is concerned.

Thanks have a great day, too.

Sorry for the lack of updates.
Expansion FTW!
Attacking towards the 2nd Beachhead
Our offensive to relieve the 2nd beachhead has begun. The goal, a narrow corridor connecting the 1st and second beachheads. The lack of progress at first is upsetting, but a breakthrough is achieved and we march on south.
Connecting the beaches
At the battle of Yancheng forces marching south finally met up with the forces marching north, and a connection was created.
Linked
The corridor is narrow, but nevertheless a connection is there.
The Division that took on a Nation.
I broke away from my normal doctrine of never leaving a gap in my lines to send a lone cavalry division on an attack into Xibei. I expected them to get stopped, or even encircled, but they took on and brought an entire nation to is knees. Pretty cool actually.
Communist China
However, while that division was advancing, a disturbing diplomatic update. Communist China joined the Comintern, bringing up the possibility of bringing the Ruskies into the war. Commie China needed to be dealt with quickly.
Another Nation Falls
I forgot the name of this nation. But they fell once the northern attack was renewed. As you can see this left a lot of open ground to defend, and Communist China was in the perfect spot to expand. Instead of rushing forward to defensive positions, I took a more controlled advance, allowing Commie China to take some of the land and spread out before engaging them.
Expanding Connections
While this is happening other units start focusing on expanding the narrow connections with the beachheads. Supplies are starting to become a problem. As such all new units (I have 2 more corps, or 10 divisions, whichever way you want to think of it) are being held on the Home Islands until the new ports are created and supplies are being brought to all units consistently.
Enjoy the Little Things
Such as one division that won't be bothering me anymore.
The Commie Strikes Again!
Darn Communists and their experienced troops!
And that brings us into 1938!
Okay so that's the end of this update. Now for my boring life story and excuses for lack of updates, which you don't have to read if you don't want to.
I haven't really been able to play any games all that much, just check the forums every once in a while for multiple reasons. I expected to have more time but Full-time College and a recent promotion at work have me with almost no free time. As such, the time I do get is usually put into talking/hanging out with my high school friends so that we can keep in touch. So I haven't even played past 1938. But hopefully I will start getting more time as I'm getting more used to college.
