Started playing Japanese a bit alternatively: released Manchuko, didn't DOW China. The strange thing was that all (!) Chinese warlords joined my alliance and later DOWed Nat China themselves! China was pretty easy though. Later I dowed UK mainly to get Christmas Island with Naval Bases ready in force pool. The war was easy again - finished off Dutch, conquered and released India, got Iraq, Arabic possessions and Hong Kong.

As the plan goes, in 1941 I DOW Mexico then and land with about 100 divisions (INF-CAV-MAR, brigades). US DOWs me in a month and everything again goes very well untill I reach Georgia maybe. By that time I still have numerical superiority, but far inferior quality, TC problems, their bombers crippling my forces etc etc. Now, what did I do wrong? Personally I have two guesses - focused too much on fleet (by '42 3 CTFs + 2 MAFs) or got in America too late? Thanks in advance..

It seems to be you did very good, If your offensive as Japan only stalls in Georgia... when I play Japan, I will eb glad to get me the Pacific.

I'd say you suffer from overextension of forces, not surprisingly. When you say your forces have inferior quality, do you mean they aren't up to date anymore? In that case, you eitehr neglected research or modernization.
In regards of TC, try to puppet some region that gives you most trouble. Also, did you palce garrissons with MP brigades in territories swarming with partisans? I assume your TC problems are due to partisans, though you get the deatls by moving the cursor over the truck symbol and waiting for a few seconds.
As for their bombers crippling your armies, you surely captured some airfields along the way, no? Move your fighters and interceptors there, put them on air superiority over the problematci areas and hope you win the air battle.
Good luck.

Air superiorty is really key for a invasion of USA.
Else, it depends on how much you are "cheating". CAS does make it easier to keep the level of the american army down. If you don't do it, you will sooner or later get overwhelmed by numbers, since encirclement is very difficult to make (Nothing on wheels). Also if your allies have TAC, rember to use them. Even at lvl 2 and 3 the prove quite effetive, if you control the air. MOT (or ARM) are really useful when you reach the heartlands of USA.

By the way, I have tried a different approach. When tried i made a D-Day on all major port of the west coast (It is possible, giving enough naval power). To my great surprise USA send ALL their figther-forces to these ports. In one stroke i destroyed the US Airforce. 70 divs. + 30 bomber was enough for conquering USA  .
