I heard in the dev diary Japan will surrender after being nuked twice. Playing as Manchukuo and in my 2nd war against Japan I nuked them twice but they do not surrender. Is there some other requirement i am missing?
Nagasaki and Hiroshima were the first two cities, I nuked them more times including their capital. I don't see any decisions to offer them surrender.Where did you nuke and did the Decision show up in the Decisions list?
I did it about 50 days before the decision ended and it didn't happen for me eitherWell those cities would work, so I'm guessing it was probably too late then, the Decision had already ran out. It comes up as nukes are first introduced and lasts a few years, but if they don't get nuked within that timeline it's too late and you will have to do it the good old fashioned way and land there. Sorry.
I nuked them in early 1946, surely that is soon enough?Well those cities would work, so I'm guessing it was probably too late then, the Decision had already ran out. EDIT: It's automatic, you don't have to click anything to make it so. The Decision just shows up so you know it is something that can now happen.
Didn't know that so I will try taking those islandsIt works, but u have to control Iwo Jima and Okinawa so that the AI takes the Decision and surrenders.
It worked, shortly after capturing those 2 islands Japan surrendered and I got the peace conferenceIt works, but u have to control Iwo Jima and Okinawa so that the AI takes the Decision and surrenders.

In MP it doesnt matter because the total capitulation of japan is a decision, what Japan has to choose to trigger the event. Here's a related question: in MP shouldn't it be nearly impossible to trigger the event?
The Allies need air superiority over mainland Japan.
It should be easy to deny that as the Japanese player. You only need to plaster Japan with full radar, AA and enough fighters. You will have a drastic efficiency advantage, no?
