I just finished my first Japan run which I started as Shimazu.
Unfortunately, I could not complete the Sakoku Law achievement:
- one incident (can't remember which one) did not get counted towards the achievement,
- Proliferation of Firearms does not want to start. It shows an X next to "At least 30 years since last incident". But it has been over 30 years since the last incident. I even continued way past 1821 just to wait...and wait...
Since I didn't know I must go towards "open" during the Spread of Christianity incident to convert to Christianity, I am also missing the Kirishitan Japan achievement. I thought there would be a separate event.
Well, now I'm wondering if those incidents are bugged or if I did something wrong and should try again.
Is there another reason not shown in the tool-tip why an incident wont start like in my case?
Must I always chose the option "sharply to isolationist" for the incident to get counted towards the achievement?
Other than that it was a relaxed run and most entertaining to smash Ming's fleets every time they declared. I took Naval Ideas for the first time ever
