Hi.

I've recently started this game and am still playing on Japan, my first game. After trying a few times, I realized there was a bug and I couldn't enforce Sokoku Law, even though it doesn't work I would just pay 200 power each. My provinces keep turning into Catholic and an uprising with around 25-30 regiment happens and the provinces turns back to Shintoism again. This repeats itself and my missioner cannot do anything (%0 efficiency) because of the "western trade: -%5" effect. I cannot decrease this in anyway because I cannot force Sakoku Law and for some reason, my military technology upgrade didn't decrease it (it said it would decrease the western trade effect by 1 percent).

I realized I should have passed this law a long, long time ago but I cannot. Do you know any solution for this? Do you know any other way of decreasing western trade? Please tell me.

Yeah, it's currently broken - the decision doesn't actually remove the modifiers. You're only going to be able to fix this if you're not playing Ironman. Do some save editing - search for the modifier and flag "western_trade" in your save file and replace them with "sakoku_law" and you should be fine.

Oh I didn't know it was an option, thank you, it worked. If only i did this 100 years ago, tho :/
