It is early 1940 and I have conquered and puppetted nationalist China (took two years :)

Am I right in beleiving that if I give some of my new China provinces (those with no resources or IC etc) to my neighbouring puppets that will lighten my TC load?

How many defending infantry should I place in the pacific islands and how many aircraft should I base on them? I noticed that in my last game I had problems keeping aircraft in supply on the islands - I usually had 4 stationed there with three infantry divisions - am I better to place one or two divisions and fewer planes?

Also - is there anything I can do to help my Axis partners in their efforts besides giving them resources and of course opening up a front against the Brits in India (more TC load?) or against the Soviets?

Thanks.

I only play GER but for what it is worth.

Yes, removing any province with a high insurgancy and low INFRA will help TC and eff respectively. Can your puppet take it though? Load too much crap onto a puppet and you pretty much nail it ( small puppets). Cores are very important.

Supply is an odd beast. For an island it could be low INFRA, enemy interference within sea zones or I don't know what... a high naval base is a huge plus though:) ( If you look at the supply map you usually see green circles around large ports). Keep a couple naval bases in the deploy queue so you can lay one when first taking an important island. The Ai is great at placing naval units bloody everywhere ( where the human usually concertrates forces).

For defense plain INF is hard to beat for bang for buck. Planes gobble up loads of supply/fuel. 4 planes won't stop an attack- 4 inf will make it a huge battle that you can reinforce at your leisure.
Some islands aren't worth defending though.

If you find then your planes are hard to use due to distance, send them germany way and plug away in regions USSR hasn't got air coverage ( few airports in USSR). At worst you will get great xp.
AI Germany will need your help for sure. If it falls you are toast.
