Redeploying MIL I had in southern California to Alaska.

And to Portland and Seattle.
0053.png

Situation in East
0054.png

I took out the damaged ships from my main fleet (two CV's were a bit damaged), and added the two BB's. My main fleet now have 6 CV's and 2 BB's (+ the 2 CV's in repair).
0055.png

I got 300 IC! I also make the serial on the CA's longer, so I make 8 more when these one finishes. As for the CL's I just produce one series, because I need to save a bit on IC usage. I have plenty of ships in production as it is.
0056.png

Offensive Chit is over.
0057.png

Rebasing 10 transports to Iwo Jima. I will merge them with a transport fleet (with combat ships).
0058.png

Crushed two divisions in Sacramento.
0059.png

Adding two series of Transport 1941 ships, so I can upgrade my transport fleet. As they have a bit better range, but maybe more important better speed.

0084.png

My transport convoys are running low, so I am making three more series, even though my IC usage is a bit stretched at the moment.
0085.png

Rebasing my escorted naval landing fleet to Manila. This will be used for the attack on Panama together with my 10 MAR-divisions.

OMG I read almost the entire AAR in one read, except for the last few pages of the invasion of USA.

Love it. Your AAR is great. Its in-depth with plenty of tips. Very helpful to anyone wanting to play Japan or a Naval focused nation. The small auto return button in regard to naval landings...never noticed it before now.
A really good read and a great inspiration. Thankyou!

In terms of your question about Wargames, yes they do help. Impressive, btw; how you just kept on investing in one wargame after another.

Also. Something tells me that you are more than ready to go multiplayer. That is if you havent already done that. I think your gonna annex USA too. Good plans btw. Good situations maps.

The East may well be a tougher battle, but the USA is looking much reduced all the same.

Thanks for the feedback and nice compliments. I am not the best at writing english (second language) and I don't have so much interest in story-telling or time/interest to invest to historical facts. So I try to just take some good screenshots and let them do the talking. I am actually pasting each one right into paint so I can edit it on the go, it makes it so much easier for making the AAR. But I can do with some spellchecking when I look back at posts.

When I look back at the AAR, I wonder where the 4 CV's I set into production in May 1941 according to post 103 (page 6) went? It is not in production now. But, the game has crashed several times, so it could be it crashed and then I did not remake them or something. Good about the wargames, I would maybe even have done a few more if I actually knew they were helpful.

Got quite good grasp on the game mechanics and read a lot on the forums, so I have tried to make the AAR something new players can learn from. And yeah, it is a lot of naval, so perfect AAR for learning such stuff. That being said, I am not a really into the math behind everything so I can't argue for the "perfect fleet" or anything like that. I mainly did this AAR because I could not find any Japan AAR where they got to Pearl Harbour, and I was trying to take USA as Japan, which I failed at 3-4 times before I started this AAR. I did some research, then knowing I needed lots of MTN divisions for west-coast of USA. And I realized the Light Infantery doctrine probably is the best for Japan, as it peaks in 1942-1943, and it has a lot better org-regain than for example Mobile Doctrine, so I did not try to switch this time.

As for multi-player. I am not sure. A game takes such long time, and my game even crashes every now and then.

The East may well be a tougher battle, but the USA is looking much reduced all the same.
It could be. I am trying to launch a Panama invasion as fast as possible, which is not to fast. Hoping to finish off USA early 1943. Soviet Union is my next target if I would win against USA.

As for nukes go, does someone now how the nuke range could be in 1945-1946? If I annex everything around my main-islands, in thousands of km, are they safe from nukes then?

Transporting 4 INF and 4 GAR to Philipphines from main islands.
0095.png

I have got some of the strategic redeployed units. But they are still really low on ORG.
0096.png

Strategic Redeploying these two CAV division to the north. Maybe a bit to close to the frontline, but I had already taken the screen shot when I started thinking that.
0097.png

Overview. Everything going really good at the moment. Except that there are a few US divisions closing in from the east.
0098.png

Getting my two wings of 4x INT to do some daytime Air Supueriority, I just have them quite far back for now, as I don't want to risk losing the province they are based at.
0099.png

Overview. No battles going on right now.
0100.png

I have rebased my main fleet in the Philepphines, they will follow the marines over to USA.
0101.png

The 4 INF divisions I just transported to Phillephines I am transporting to Wotje. These divisions will do the island hopping from now on.
0102.png

I am losing Denver, so I retreat from it to Colorado Springs.

0107.png

Lost Great Falls in the north.
0108.png

Both attacks going good.
0109.png

Overview over production. Everything looks really good. I have spare IC, resources are floating, and I have both convoys and escortes. I currently have 5 series of convoy transports in production.
0110.png

Transporting my MAR divisions to USA, to be ready for Panama Canal attack. They will not arrive San Diego before 24th October. Which means Panama Canal attack probably will not be before in December.
0111.png

I made a pocket! Looks good now.
0112.png

USA information. They only have 33 INF and 4 ARM divisions, and this is before the 5-6-7-8 divisions I might destroy in the pocket above.

Interestingly USA is focusing on producing a strong navy. Which seems a bit stupid of them as they will not have time to get out any other ships than destroyers before the war could be over.

Just seeing a bit on organization regain levels. These ARM divisions are placed in mountain province, but I don't think it should affect organization regain. But, I think infrastructure does that, because of supply efficiency. Found this on a thread when I googled:

"- difference between unit morale and default morale (30)
- current supply efficiency
- percentage of maximum organization left (4 steps: 0<25<50<75<100 => regain at 3x/2x/1x/0.5x normal rate)
- bad weather (snow, storm, blizzard, mud)
- whether the unit is in a friendly or occupied (enemy) province"

17th December my two CAV will arrive in Rankin Inlet. I guess it should be quite cold thee in December.
0140.png

Intelligence report of USA. They have 36 infantery divisions and 2 ARM divisions. Not good that it is going up. If I meet 60 US divisions, then I could be in for some trouble. They still have their IC at around 430, so they could pump out a lot of divisions.
0142.png

Victory at Casper.
0143.png

In South East USA I have met some resistance at Jackson in a US ARM division. I am attacking in with four MOT divisions, and also sending two MOT divisions around its right flank.

Terrain map-mode of same area. Soon getting out of the mountains and into the plains on the other side. But since I have so many MTN divisions there, I will maybe lose some of my advantage fighting on flat ground.
0155.png

Managed to sink some British transports with my SUBs. UK still have 211 IC and is a major power. I want to keep them in the fight with Germany, and I am going to (try to) take out Germany first (if I managed to knock out USA first).
0156.png

Intelligence report of UK. They have 130 INF divisions, 3 ARM division, 26 fighters and only 4 bombers. 6 BB and 5 CV is not that good, but hopefully enough to keep the Germans out of doing any landings on the UK islands.

I choose a on-board aircraft radar as my next technology as it is a 1941 technology. I try to not research so much 1942-1943 non-critical technologies so I can catch up on escpecially air technology.
