D-day

Attacking Pearl Harbour event. The day is here, 17th of February 1942, a day for the history books.

Success! At least in the initial attack.

I just have to say I am really glad I made it this far. I have gone through from 1933 - 1942 without any big fuckups, and I feel confident in my naval power, and army composition. I hope the MTN will do the work in the west, and hoping for CAV and MOT to help surround enemy divisions, and grab land faster.

I am going to spam units now. A lot of basic infantery divisions, and MIL with police brigades (making brigades seperate).

This is my second time doing Pearl Harbour. I failed last time I tried. I have done like 4-5 Japan games recently, where 2-3 of them only where to late 1930s. So I am really excited!

Production update.

Since 18th of February is here, I get to know my new IC, which is at 280, compared to 289 I had before turning into general moblization. Which is not bad at all. But I don't get any real benefits, except a little bit shorter build time, and a bit more manpower each day.

I set into production 8 parallell runs of MIL.

And 4 parallell runs of INF.

Turning off prioritzing on "Supplies", and putting it on "Reinforcements".

18th February 1942 - 20th February 1942


Naval landing at Pearl Harbour has started.

Venezuela declaring war on me. I don't know why.

Dutch East Indies territority I have to take out. Ended up in war with them when I declared war on USA.

I have a new front here;

Successfully took Guam. Getting my MAR ready for the next mission.

The attack on Kauai has not yet started, as the port was on the other side of the island.

Landing in Kauai is underway.

Peru also declared war on me.

21th February 1942 - 27th February 1942.

Won battle of Pearl Harbour. And I also repelled some USA ships trying to intercept landing fleet.

USA trying to reinforce Kauai.

Which they succeded in. I don't know how they sneak their transports past my fleets, but they did. Using my backup combat fleet to shore bombard Kauai.

Sank 14 USA transports.

Being bombed by Phillephines airforce.

Landing in Pearl Harbour is a success. Kauai not going as good, as the USA have reinforced the island with 3 divisions more.

Sank a USA ship. Also sending my transports back to Wotje, under the defence of my main fleet, to get more troops to Pearl Harbour.

Naval landing started;

Got intercepted at Kauai and my naval landing have failed. I am not to worried, as Pearl Harbour was the target, and I don't need Kauai to attack mainland USA. I will ofcourse try to get Kauai too.

Production update

My series of transport 1941 are finished. A total of 32 ships are produced. Giving me a total of 65 transports ships.

Adding 4 series of MTN into production.

Turning on prioritizing for supplies, as reinforcements and production are prioritized before supplies when all of them have prioritizing on. My new battleships are also soon finished.

Yeah. I am going to try annexing it quite fast with taking all victory point provinces. But my main goal at the moment is to land some 60 divisions on west coast of USA. And then I can sweep up all enemy land in the Pacific.

Landing these forces in the victory point province in Dutch East Indies instead of walking there as it is faster.

My first medium armour divisions are finished, just in time for landing in the USA.

Germany are dominating! My future enemy? Soviet are probably out pretty soon by the looks of it, and when I attack USA, there are no real enemy for Germany except UK. I want to take out UK home islands also. But this have to wait a few years I think.

My 18 new destoyers are finished. And I have already made more than 18 ASW.

USA took Guam back. I had it undefended. No hurry taking it back. All bigger islands are garrisoned, so they will be easy to take back, as long as US don't take a lot them.

Revolt in New Zealand. Sending my MIL to try to deal with it.

This naval landing in Dutch East Indies did not go so good, I will abort it.

UK took an island from me; Truk.

Putting 4 series of MP-brigades into production.

US has retreated its troops from Kauai. I am sending two divisions to take it.

The whole landing force for west coast of USA is ready.

It consist of 62 divisions in total;
- 28 MTN
- 20 CAV
- 12 MOT
- 2 M-ARM
- 1 HQ

Just wait like two weeks, so the last ones have their org up, and then start transporting them.

Doing some scouting of US. I am not sending my main fleet close to coast, as I am afraid of naval bombers.

Taking out the US island Johnston with two divisions.

Around 10-15 days more, and then the days it takes to transfer them over the ocean. I feel like every day that goes US gets more time to prepare.

Lost 3 subs. No real trouble. They have not done so much good actually, and my supply demand goes down.

Naval victory. Sunk two US ships (DD and CL).

Adding floatplanes into production. They are for my heavy cruisers (CA).

Germany won the war against Soviet Union 12th April 1942.

Soviet Union right now. I want to take them out, as Soviet is so close to main land Japan, and for the safety of my IC and people, I need to take them out at some point.

USA intelligence report. 47 divisions which is not that much. 14 battleships and 3 carriers, so luckily not so many carriers. But they have an IC of 640 or something, and can produce A LOT at the same time, so I am a bit nerous. A long war I can't win against US I think, so need to be so fast as possible.

As you maybe could see at the last picture, my light-carrier did not have light-carrier-air-group attachment, so adding one serie into production. I don't think I have more than CV/CVL missing it's CAG.
