The new ck Middle East has been mapped to the new eu Middle East in the converter and the games will (as you may have seen from the announcements today) be patched on the same day

The converter has been updated, all new religions and cultures will be there, institutions and other peripheral files ahve been updated, and province mappings have been updated for all new or revised areas in CK2 and EU4, etc.
China will have its Culture and Religion carry over to EU4, and any land held by the Western Protectorate will be assigned to China proper. They will also get a new flag, as the EU4 ones all refer to specific dynasties, afaik.
