So I've managed to get the HRE to all merge in to their ultimate battle form (and I formed the head!), by only 1575 and I'm kinda stuck.
At this point there is noone to challenge me. Le Blob is about half the size of modern day France, Great Britain can't even conquer all of the British Isles, Nogai still has half of Russia, and I can see on the saved game screen that China is still three warring states. Sweden might pose a problem, as it owns all of Scandanavia, but there's also a Hapsburg on the throne, and if I keep tight with them I might just inherit it someday.
But to get right back to my point, since my borders stretch from Northern Italy to Denmark (and go up along the the Baltic coast), and from Eastern France to all of Poland, and I'm the most advanced in.. well, everything except Naval research... Is there really any reason to keep going?
Oh, I know there's the fun of doing a world conquest game, but it feels like it will honestly be just one long curb-stomp battle as I take more and more of the world with noone there to really challenge me, and that's only fun for so long.
I'm actually thinking of just marking this one down in the 'win' collumn and starting a new game, at higher difficulty, as the Byzantines.
(P.S. sorry no picture, my laptop just takes a screencap of what's going on behind the game. Probably something to do with holding down the Function key.)
