A new installer is now built. We are just going to test it before we get it to gamersgate.
The same installer was sent to Steam, but they will get the updated version before they wake up today, so I hope they will see that before they release it.

awesome. just one little thought.. why didn't anyone test the first installer that got sent out?
still i look forward with baited breath to FTM!

We did test it. We did not test the uninstaller though, which turned out to be the bad guy. So we though we were testing on a clean computer when we weren't.
Lesson learned! The new installer works, so we'll update you shortly.

you probably have the old installer files and running those? make sure they are removed.

Dang, now I downloaded VCOMP100.dll manually, but it still doesn't work.
Keeps crashing or fails to start properly.

i got a MSVCP100.dll is missing when i try to load the game

Maybe Pdox updated their Redistributable Package... Hum...

Downloaded that already, now it simply crashes after startup.

Thanks Kallocain, I tried that - but it didn't help.
...because, as it turned out, one of my SF files from my GG download was corrupted. I uninstalled, downloaded SF again, reinstalled and now it works fine.

So, for anyone who has problems after installing the most recende VR package:
Try a "clean" HoI3 -> SF -> FTM install.

The point was: 4 people haven't even played the game and they gave 5 stars to it, WITHOUT actually testing the game. Was it hard to understand in my previous post?

This should be the one, this is what we are seeing.
As for the 5-star people, they might be betas.

Says 'Hearts of Iron III:For the Motherland was not installed'. Running 2.04f, downloads OK but will not install, tried a numberof times here in UK.

Please try to reinstall the game. HoI3->SF->FtM, no patches needed. If that does not work, please start a thread in the tech support forum instead.
