Right reinstalled. Followed the instructions for MyMap install. Did the optional file install and then
MyMap followed by
AGCEEP v1.39 Deluxe and the updates afterwards

Game started ok with new icon, but upon selecting England, my map shows the Western US?????
Is the map all screwy? Make sure you deleted the "MAP" folder in the AGCEEP folder.

Hmm after spending 3 weekends (not all the time) trying to get this thing installed, I about done in giving up and not bothering!

I still cant get MyMap and AGCEEP installed together and working. :(

What I dont seem to have is a clear definiative list of what needs to be installed and in what order. And what exactly needs to be removed and when.

The list at the bottom of your Mymap sig takes me to websites that just confuse me in what I should be installing as alot of the stuff is either old, or has more than one option like 1.39 and the deluxe version?!

The only thing I can count on is installing 1.09 patch after a disk install. After that, Ive tried installing 1.38 AGCEEP before Mymap v2, Ive tried to installed 1.39 AGCEEP before Mymap v2, but I dont seem to be getting anywhere.

For a last chance, Id love for someone to write down a foolproof set of instructions in getting MyMap and AGCEEP working from the intial installs to actually selecting the correct scenario from the game screen and which folders to remove during installations and when!

Okay, I give it a shot.

  1. First of all, get a clean 1.09 eu2 installed. We're working from there.
  2. Note: if you still want to be able to use the old paradox map, make a backup of your original eu2 directory first.
  3. Make sure the eu2 files are not 'read-only'! The installation program needs to overwrite files. I assume you know how to remove 'read-only' status of a folder. If not, feel free to ask.
  4. Download AGCEEP version 1.39 HERE
  5. This file is an .exe file. Run it and point it to your eu2 main directory. If it's correctly installed you will find the AGCEEP icon at your desktop and an 'AGCEEP' directory in your main eu2 directory.
  6. Test if AGCEEP works by using the shortcut that is now at your desktop. I assume it's working.
  7. Download Mymap v2 HERE
  8. This is an .exe file. Run it and point it to your eu2 main directory. During installation it will probably say the directory already exists. Just click continue. If it's correctly installed you will find in your 'scenarios' directory a 'Mymap grand campaign' file.
  9. To play it, run eu2.exe and select the scenario 'mymap grandcampaign'.

--------------------
If it still isn't working, I recommend you to try Kasperus' map instead. It has a nice working 1419 grand campaign coming with it. And it's in my humble opinion a better map than mymap.
To install it:

  1. Get a clean 1.09 eu2 installed
  2. Note: if you still want to be able to use the old paradox map, make a backup of your original eu2 directory first.
  3. Make sure you have winrar. It's the extraction program necessary to unpack Kasperus' map. Get winrar HERE
  4. Download kasperus' map files HERE
  5. Unpack them with winrar in your EU2 main directory.
  6. It should work then. The scenario to select is WatK Grand campaign.

If you're having problems at the AGCEEP stage then this could be the cause.

Important:
In db folder, edit events.txt with Notepad and replace:

Code:
event = "AGCEEP\Events\AGCEEP_Specific_Gujarat.eue"
with:

Code:
#event = "AGCEEP\Events\AGCEEP_Specific_Gujarat.eue"

It was for me when I did a fresh install this morning (without MyMap)

Thx you FAL and agung pasha. Ive realised that the AGCEEP folder be moved after 1.39. Im using the BASE install of AGCEEP and realised that I wasnt running update2 and morefix42, rather just extracting.

However, now I have two sets of errors when running the MyMAP GC. Leader ids 9100-9105 are duplicates and right at the end of the loading scenario, relgious_sliders_eue has an error.

Am I missing the morefix update? Or is it somethingelse.

FAL ive followed agungs list as he installed MyMap before AGCEEP.

MyMAP GC was for Vanilla games, you should run AGCEEP mod instead :D

MyMAP-AGCEEP12.exe
was bundlle of
-EU2 1.09
-EGUFSM 1.1 for AGCEEP
-AGCEEP 1.39 with modified for MyMAP (morefix)
-MyMAP with little update
-Kaigon recoloured sprites for muslim and safavid
in one 7-zip file (24MB)
Was put in temporary webhost.

-If you still want to be able to use the old paradox map, make a backup of your original eu2 directory first. this will overwrite many of vanilla files
-only need plain EU2 installed
I've recomended to install separate EU2 game. so you have more than one EU2 in your pc.
-install or extract in EU2 main directory
or just put this MyMAP-AGCEEP.exe in the same directory with Eu2.exe then run this file. ;)

-if you got confirm file replace
select "yes to all"

-To run this game was the same with vanilla game. ( using vanilla shortcut)

Happy downloading day .. :D

Thats for going above and beyond the call, agung pasha!

However, I cannot download the file! :(

furthermore its not a problem with the files Ive downloaded, its a problem with getting AGCEEP to run using MyMap! I was led to believe that this is possible!

Using FALs way, I installed and managed to get MyMap running (Berwick is in Sth Scotland).

But when I try to run AGCEEP 1.39 and start the AGC GC, I get an error similar to DoW'. On comm. out the DPSliders line, I then get ID errors which CTD.

Personally, I think Im on a hiding to nothing so here we go again: :(

EU2 from disk
1.09 patch
Install MyMAPv2.exe 12.9Mb
-Delete the AGCEEP folder
Install AGCEEP1.39Base 6.98Mb
Install Update2.exe 5Mb
Install Morefix42.exe 2.72Mb

Start using AGC icon and
choose GrandCampaign

This should allow me to play EU2 with MyMAP and AGCEEP 1.39.

Correcto?

I put that file in rapidshare just for temporary . think you got download problem with that. choose free download and then read instruction in bottom of that page, maybe they ask you to wait in couple of minutes . Or just wait till Ivan host that file in his web. ;)

MyMAPv2.exe have old file from AGCEEP 1.38 that why you got that error if install AGCEEP 1.39 before that.

EU2 from disk
1.09 patch
Install MyMAPv2.exe 12.9Mb
Install AGCEEP1.39Base 6.98Mb
-Delete the map folder of AGCEEP if exist
Install Update2.exe 5Mb
Install Morefix42.exe 2.72Mb

Start using AGCEEP icon and
choose any scenario that have MyMAP names like
-1419 MyMAP grand Campaign
-1520 MyMAP age of reformation
-1648 MyMAp age of adventures

This should allow me to play EU2 with MyMAP and AGCEEP 1.39.

Correcto?
