I would be a bit dissapointed about the game ending before nappy though.... However, I am almost certain that we will see several expansion packs for this game if it is a success!

Ps. Paradox, do not underestimate graphics as a tool to make a game feel more immersive.

EU3's a good idea. Every time I play EU2, it's obvious that it's a good game, but the interface is ancient (even HoI1's is more usable and better looking). No idea what other improvements could be made...the one of the things I'd like in a HoI3 is a 3D globe, to let you fire ICBMs over the North Pole, but what does EU3 need?

it needs different maps--ones that change as the knowledge of the world changes, with the positions of the land slowly shifting to where they should be in the real world from where the ancient cartographers had mistakenly drawn them. THAT WOULD F----ING ROCK.

I agree. I am pleased to hear that the next game will be EUIII. I guess Paradox possibly plans to make Napoleonic Expansion. I hope they will also make 1419 scenario sooner or later.

I wonder if you can import savegames for CK to EUIII or from EUIII to Victoria?

If Paradox decides to use graphic intensively then I hope that they will also use DVDs instead of CDs if EUIII needs two or more CDs. Personally, I hate switching CDs.

Yeah...lots of money to be made in such an approach. And also I think the new game engine is so versatile that they can easily expand it in many directions. For instance they would have to change combat for the Napoleon and American civil war era. And economics etc. in another expansion dealing with the Victorian era.

My fantasy has for long been that they make a game stretching from sometime in the 15th century to the 1950s, and the time line being distributed on four games. One core game, and three expansions. I really hope and think this could be done well!
