What was wrong with the automated merchant? I never had problems with it, by the time I had conquered 2/3 of Europe it gets me monopolies everywhere...

Early when you do not have much money, auto sends to the most stupid places and make you bankrupt.

Like an automated merchant send that works well? I would like to be able to select a range of provinces and have them crank out troops repeatedly until X amount of troops are built, hae them sent to another province, where they automatically board ships if ships are avaiable in the sea-zone I click on. The ships wait long enough for troops to board and continue on the planned route. Wow, would that save some micro-management!

Well I see automation more for the newbies' benefit. The best rulers micromanage and know everything that goes in their land.

Sacrifices need to be made. Better to have features with no automation than to have no features at all! Think about that, son!

Yes, I hope it also has autonomous POPs (which would actually make more sense in the EU2 period) - doing things like converting to anabaptism and demanding land reforms!!!

1453 is a better histroical cut-off point than 1419. At least something significant happened that year. And mremember the troubles with the Ottoman AI.

I hope we get more Central European provionces to play with.

I am glad that the starting date is indeed no longer a marketing gimmick. Paradox is still serious about their games.

The only thing I fear is that all the mentioned games whose features will be in EU3 require quite a lot of micromanagement. I do hope there will be some smart auto-micromanage options for brides and educations (or education being skipped to character will entirely) if CK character tree makes it, same goes for Victorian leadership.
Too many features can lead to game be unplayable due to vast amounts of micromanagement you need to play out full possibilities.

I hope they keep this character stuff out. I just want it to be like EU2 with a far bigger map, more countries, improved graphics (still 2D though), improved battle and trading system. All the other stuff would spoil it IMO.
