Reading several threads, people keep comparing CiM with SC, and complaining about EA and SC and (I think I'm not the only one) that it should be over.
If you have complaints/suggestions of SC , do it on their forums.
We should focus instead in keeping this game a better one, with fresh new ideas, not recycled ones.
Just my 2 cents. Sorry if it annoys anybody.

(and I'm not a SC hater, actually I have most of the SC franchise, but this is just not the place)

Not sure if OT...; to be honest, the game of my dreams would be a trafic simulator as awsome as Cities in Motion integrated with a city-building game as awsome as SC5 should have been. Im sure i am not the only one with this dream, but perhaps that discussion should go in another thread? ;)

I hope it doesn't turn out like SimCity, such a great idea and theme behind it, all failed. Plots too small, service sucks. I believe Paradox can do much better, please!

Obviously you are not an sc hater, hence your post. I think many people are not merely complaining about SC but giving CO and CIM2 a compliment saying, compared to some other companies and games CO is doing it right. Personally I have been burned to often by Maxis especially since they became a part of the much bigger problem EA. You are entitled to your love of SC, don't hate on the people that have been burned by the large corporation.

He may be whatever he may be, this is still not the right place for any SC discussion. This subforum is dedicated to discuss about the upcoming game Cities in Motion 2, not SimCity, even if you have been "burned" and "betrayed" by EA it is still not the right place.

The comparison comes from the entire aspect of cities growing from your road construction. Obviously it's not SimCity, but one of the coremost mechanics of SimCity, minus RCI, is being seen here. There's nothing wrong wih people simply stating in favor of a product after another with some baser-more similarities gave plenty of trouble. As long as they're smiling at CiM and speaking of it while exercising free speech on a related topic, why berate? Go praise CiM in the EA forums, you'll get burned plenty worse than discussing things here. Try to be open minded; we all have out interests. With games like these, it's hard to penalize anyone for simply saying "Good work, you're doing better than 'Door No. 2'"

Exactly the point I was trying to make. Well said.

In my opinion, everyone is free to express his/her opinion like "That's much better than Thing X" or "Thing X had that, why don't you make it", but we shouldn't start long conversations about how good/bad the other games are. It's OK to compare, but this is surely not the right place for arguments about something unrelated to CiM.
