Im sorry. I am meaning need = {} command in tech, for example:

infantry = {
need = {
infantry_equipment = 10
}
}

Used to add 10 Infantry Equipment to the Unit Infantry, which isnt the case anymore. Now it has no effect

I am honestly not sure if this ever worked? I put that into a doctrine tech on the old 1.10.5 and it doesnt work there either. maybe I am messing up exactly how and where it applies in the scripts tho. If not and its my bad, then its likely the same issues as the doctrine issue which we are working on

This might not be the right place to say this, but you guys are great. The activity of the devs on the forum today is something you don't see on 95% of larger game forums. And it's not even the mods or a single dev making formal announcements, but the developers actively working with community members to improve the game. I have to thank you for this, it really feels like our voices are being heard.

Yes agree! Sometimes we can of course disagree with the direction of things. But we love the game you guys made! And you guys actually replying to a lot of threads is a seldom thing to experience with larger studios which is most appreciated! :)

Not surprised to see that the forum is full of yes man knowing now how they censor people who criticize them. Just saying.
That is some skill, being able to look past a forum full of blue posts from multiple developers, late at night for them, but quickly zooming in on the posts from people who did notice it and made comments on it. The self discipline required to focus past the good to see the "bad" must have taken years to develop. :p

All funning aside, it is hard not to notice and appreciate that so many PDX employees stayed up late tonight working. It does not hurt to say yes when you notice something like this. I know too many times in my life I have put forward efforts without notice. We all have, you too, I am sure. I don't want to always be the person who cannot be bothered to notice the efforts of another human.

Bruh lmao they didn't censor this.

It seems like a normal thing to like when the devs, you know, engage with the customers and take constructive criticism. Example: Poland part 2 got criticism, but instead of censoring it, they made a whole new monarchist path

Of course, they won't censor their fan boys jumping in to defend them. But they censored the post where I had a point about their attitude towards customers, the kind of post that many users would have agreed with.

Constructive criticism? Lol. Dude, we have the Baltics but Italy has been left as it is since the beginning. The AI still sucks on many points. WW2 has become a même with communist Japan and the Confederate States. Finland is less important than Trotstkyist Mexico. Don't tell me there hasn't been constructive criticism on these points for weeks, months or years. Sorry to say that but only a hate train finally pushed them enough to rework Poland. And that's sad but also a clear indication of how they consider their customers. It's not like these things I mentioned were minor issues, that's literally what people have been asking for here for a long time. So don't serve me the "poor devs connect late on the forums for us" gimmick. I'm not saying devs are evil and responsible for everything, I'm criticizing the company's choices. And I think that's why they censored me.
I was talking about how they didn't censor your complaint about censorship

An important thing to know for Italy is the theming of most DLCs. MtG already had US and UK, so no room for Italy. LaR had room for Italy, but with France and a massive double-Spain / SCW rework, the devs chose to go with Portugal (and I, for one think the Portuguese tree is lots of fun). Italy also doesn't fit well in NSB, as they weren't hugely focused on the front, so it's unfair to compare them to the Baltics, whose only front was the eastern front. They'll probably be in their own expansion.

Finland: yeah, I'm disappointed about that too. What I hope will happen is that there'll be a BfB-like country pack focused around Scandinavia coming after NSB. But comparing Finland to Mexico is immaterial: they were probably being saved for an eastern front or Scandinavia DLC, while Mexico going with the USA was probably the best option.

And what's wrong with CSA or commie Japan? Even if that's not your cup of tea, can't you still appreciate that other players get depth / enjoyment out of their inclusion?

Finally, what did you say to get censored? Did it break one of the rules here?

But really there are sooo many whitespaces behind lines, when I mod files I often want to remove them, but this probably would just make my life harder in the future, when I need to update the mod and check for differences to updated vanilla file.
