...and the embargo on Youtube vids and previews are lifted on the 3rd. ATM that is what i am looking forward to since i haven't pre-ordered(yet).

Not for me it didnt. I need to move countries to one with a better clock.
The 3rd wont help me. All this talking and watching vids seems to make the wait take longer. I'm a grown man (according to my birth certificate) that feels like a 5yo waiting for christmas.
Making this thread has only helped pass 9 mins so far.
Yeah, I'm the same - I do it to myself everytime a game I am waiting for is close to release! I have found a way to cope with it though. For TW: Attila I didn't pre-order it until the day before release, so I didn't have it sat in my Steam Library taunting me. I found it much easier to get on with life..
Sadly, I have pre-ordered Cities and it is now looking out from my 140 odd games in my Library, taunting me...

Wow... this is so painful. The first thing I thought when I read your post is that I'm jealous that you are presumably now in March (Western Europe, I am guessing?), and over here in Toronto I'm stuck in February for another 5 hours. It's almost like you're another month closer to the game than I am. And the fact that I had that thought is just sad, in a pathetic lost puppy kind of way.
God, I would hate it for it still to be February. That old saying is true. Theres always someone worse off than you. Ive been enjoying march for 37 mins now. I would tell you about it but I dont want to spoil it.

Expecting March is just more self-entitlement. Expectations of 1 second/second need to be managed.
Not too sure how you derive the concept of "self-entitlement" from people being excited about this game's pending release? But I'm pretty sure you don't mean the term in a complimentary manner.
For someone who spends a lot of time critiquing others for having high expectations, I'm actually surprised to see you hanging around in these forums as much as you do. Aren't you worried the amount of time you spend focused on this game's pending release is going to raise your expectations?

My expectations cost me 950$. Realized that my integrated Intel graphics wouldn't do the trick so I bought a gaming rig.

So i decided to pre-order the deluxe edition after watching that dev stream and youtube videos. Game looks great, there just hasnt been a city building game to fill the void since Sim City 4. Also the fact that they support modding is great.
I didn't mean to be offensive; I think you misunderstood my attempt at humorous critique.
It's that I've noticed that anyone who might stick their head up and suggest that there may be things that aren't perfect is oppressed by the tyranny of the majority. Someone says they want something: self entitled. They expected things to be done differently: no one's forcing you to buy it. They would expect this thing of the game and thought they would discuss it: wait until the game comes out before you complain, how self-entitled of you; no one is forcing you to buy it.... and on and on.
After a few drinks last night I noticed this post about March, and my mind just took that turn. No offence was meant, bro. I'm excited too and don't want to spoil the party, but I'm a bit of a pain in the arse that way.

It's OK... if you fly westward over the international dateline, you jump forward one day. So, get on a westward-bound 747 and fly non-stop starting from today. For safety, you allow the plane to touch down to refuel and change flight crews twice a day, but other than that, you're airborne and flying westward all the time. You should arrive at March 10th within about 72 hours.

When the 10th really does arrive (presuming my contention about the westward-bound flight is incorrect), I expect that the rate of posting on these threads will dry up instantaneously. Replaced with city diaries and people posting cool screenshots and mods. We'll all be too busy playing the game to be asking questions like why there aren't public restrooms for the cims.

A slowing of posts starting tomorrow night may be indicative of watching Let's Plays
However after that I expect a surge of suggestions, complaints, complements etc.
