Yes...it was seen by european pubblic opinion of the time like the first defeat of a european army against an african one but it is not true...............

Isandlwana 1879, the british army was destroyed by the Zulu!
and the Zulu really had mostly spears and shields, not modern rifles like the Abyssinian at Adua.
