I haven't played one of the Italian nations yet. I want to, but my ultimate goal would be reuniting the Kingdom of Italy. I also do when I play Italy (just like playing a HRE nation I always want to be Empeor and take over all/most of Europe and playing Byzantium I want to recreate the Roman Empire and take over everything) but one problem always comes up. Rome and the Papacy. So is it possible to control all of Italy to include Rome but without pissing off the Pope?
