NO NO NO everybody, you are senators now, the position of ambassador is going to be offered to some new people so they can get involved in some limited way. Please remain senators or i will lose support for the Doge. You can swap roles later, for now keep playing your roles ok. sheesh, offer a new job and everybody wants to jump ship:D

And don't worry about dogeship I wouldn't vote on that day.:D Oh, do you want a hint on how to win elections in the senate. Just do what senators did to Ted Kenedy, send them some strong liquor so they are passed out and not voting;)

Well how about this: those who are Senators can't have major ambassadors (for instance, I can't have France or Spain) but can have more minor ones (maybe the Netherlands, The Palitinate, Hessen, Algiers, etc.). After all, we are allowed to have multiple characters as far as having Papal candidates and such goes. Please? I wanna be an ambassador!

Ladies and gentlemen we interrupt our regular programming tonight to report that the first humanly constructed black hole was created at a top secret site only know by the letters aar. The reported immense mass of this aar created by the fertile minds at this location was enough to cause the implosion that started the chain reaction leading to this phenomena. The last message received was by a certain Warspite (we are still trying to find out who or what a Warspite is) who while riding the black hole's event horizon on the back of a computer was last heard to yell "WHAT A GAME". Re: The other senators

The italian senate is very big, encompassing nobles from every province to represent their lands in the senate government. So there are many other NPC voices we never hear. Here i will shed some light on what the other senators think of the current situation.

65% of NPC senators favor the Popes cleaning out of heretics in Italy and elsewhere though not necessarily by war.

30% are against the Pope bringing his religious practices into the government body.

66% of NPC senators approve of Doge By-Tor thus far while others question his policies.

22% of NPC senators want war against Turkey and to start a crusade.

45% of NPC senators want to improve relations with Spain and/or Austria to begin healing in europe.

this is just to give our players an idea of how the rest of the government body feels about current events. how does this effect you or the game? STABILITY! its the only way i have to gauge unity or friction in the republic.

stability will remain +3 for now, but if things start to get hairy expect it to effect national stability, ill make sure you are all informed.

Well, this is news to me, I haven't seen any of these nameless wonders in our meetings, has anyone? I had assumed we might number around 25 to 30. After all, until a new area is fully absorbed and has a governor, I don't think they should have a senator. The only exception should be the original provinces that make up the Italian nation. How are we doing with placing govs?

Sullenly? Why sullenly? I got what I asked for. (Doge owes me one for this.) I should think even a general would be cautious around the don.
Especially a fellow Sicilian. :D Too many relatives at stake.

The don leaves, smiling, knowing that the stage is now set for more interesting action.
He thinks to himself, Mc owes me big time for this, if Lombardi had plowed on in, the papal guard might have killed him outright.

Vice General Lombardi,

I must repeat myself on when I say do not enter the city. Our last conversation has left me in an awkward situation. On one hand you are an Italian soldier in an Italian Army loyal to the State , and obviously your commanding officer General McCollum. On the other hand I see a man who will forego rank and proclaim his unauthorized actions as righteous, and just in the face of authority.
Therefore I say that any action taken by you, or your men against my direct orders to not take action against the Pope, the City, the State, or the People of Italy in the attempt to "save" your General McCollum will be seen as treason, and punished to the fullest extent of the law. General McCollum is on trial at this moment consequently releasing control of his army. I am assume the command of his Army until either he is released, or a replacement is found.
I hope this letter finds the wisdom in you. It would be a shame to lose such an accoploshed soldier.

Doge By-Tor

Leave it to the Doge to throw fire on the water. Just got things smoothed over and he has to inflame the situation.

I'm sure we can fit it on my site and update every year(game-term year). Or we can just make a time-line thingie and allow the players to jump right into the action. We can create a form for people to fill out when they create/become a senator and all the info will be mailed to me and to warspite. I'll place the new senator info on bios page and warspite will introduce the senator to the AAR.

My poor understanding of the situation is that an event horizon is that point were light and or matter can still possibly escape the gravity of a black hole so Warspite had time for one last message before being sucked in to maybe emerge on the other side of the black hole or at least what's left of him. As to the unfortunate side effects of the earth and everyone on it being sucked into the black hole all I can say is "Shit happens" :D Oh and it's all Warspite's fault.:D

The event horizon is a boundry around a quantum singularity where nothing not even light can escape. Anything traveling into the event horizon will eventuly become part of the Quantum singularity.

And Wraspite if you destroy the world you won't be allowed to be a moderator.

How could a message be sent through a black hole when there are no wormholes connecting the event horizon to the sender of the message. Unless you use the squeezed vacume around the black hole to preform as anti-gravity so that the wormhole could be sustained for energy to travel through it.

And even if the energy escapes and is recieved what are you going to do with the black hole. It cannot be destroyed so all the mater around it will be sucked into the event horizon eventually destroying the Earth. Then it will eat the sun and we would all be dead.

Finally a post in mt subject of expertese. This probably makes me look smart.

Not necessarily, this IS fantasyland, remember. :p

Declaration of the most honourable and noble Seym of the Commonwealth of the Two Kingdoms, the Polish and the Lithuanian, assembled at Lublin in this year AD 1566, when M. Sienicki was Marszalek.

1. We hereby appoint our most loyal and worthy brother Arkadiusz Sierakowski of the clan Pogon to the position of Ambassador to the Republic of Italy, to take up position immediately and to hold it until Our further declaration.

2. We request that the Senate of the Republic of Italy grant audience to Our most loyal and worthy brother, and grant him all the honours and priveliges due to an Ambassador.

Given at Lublin under the hand of M. Sienicki, Marshal.

About time you showed up Pan Z, couldn't believe you have been such a slacker. :D

BTW, shouldn't you be presenting yourself to the Doge. After all, we in the Senate have no real power.

Well what can I say. From what I have read and obviously can't take into consideration your private meetings and letters this was the one course of action that could only be done to keep the peace.
