Cool thanks

oohh that reminds me,, Doge By-Tor needs to let me know where he wants the religious sliders and also where he wants the budget sliders.

Religous sliders..take Muslim religions all the way to the left and lock 'em. Of the Christian religion if need be the Orthodox should be the one that get the least tolerance. I think though that with the Muslim locked that Orthodox should be around middle. Basiclly the effects of religion tolerance on revolt risk should be no worse that 0% concerning any non-muslim province.
As far as budget sliders I think we should invest heavily into land tech unless...
1)We need to raise or stability. then all research go into getting stability back to +3.
2)If another tech is within 2 years of getting to next level then divert all funds into that tech until new level is reaced then go back to land tech.
BUT FIRST...we need to make good on our promices to Storey for his refinery , and to the republic on for a national monument(fine art academy in capital) in memory of Carolus Rex. I have some other budget ideas , but that can wait until my "state of the union address"

ITALY rpg/aar Doge-- which will be a thread for me and current doge to communicate

I think this can be done thru private messaging. No need to start another section. Just my thoughts. :)

Actually, I think I asked for France, since Spain was taken.

Warspite, don't split out to other aars. This is much more interesting being able to see what is going on all at once. I would get to be a real pain if we have to go through 4 or 5 aars just to determine what happened and why.

By-Tor, you might want to reconsider your religious sliders if we capture Muslim provinces. We are not the papal states, and we don't necessarily want continual revolts in those provinces.

Warspite, my family is always available for special jobs. :D
The only condition I place is that it will not harm my family, Sicilia or Italy. I of course can accept some collateral damage (nice term, that), but there has to be a greater benefit than damage. Other than that, if those three are not involved, hell, it's fair game. Don't always want money, sometimes services, maybe property, or even the fact that a debt will exist, will do. Depends on who is asking. However, if the target is high enough, I might have to ask for an appointment or such. ;)

Warspite,

I need to clarify one thing. When I said "all research goes to land tech" , or for which ever tech for that matter I meant all monoies minus the little money that you tend to save each month. I personally play where I don't have a monthly balance , but I see you do. So I won't interfere with your style of play. So for the record I shall revise my statement to "all available funds minus some that goes into the treasury each month"

Oops. Sorry for that, I saw my error a little late and I did not have time to edit:( . Forster asked for French informations earlier like he mentionned in his last post.

To Warspite : I tend to agree with Forster that it would be easier to have only one thread.
Btw, if you need to send me a private message (should not be very necessary as the Pope is nearing his end) I am not sure I enabled everything right when I registered so just leave a message you want something from me and I'll get back to you.

There is only one problem with that. One can't be tolerant towards all religions. There has to be some preferences or else any war longer than 2 years would result in a lot of 1% revolt risks in a lot of places. If I can keep most people happy while persecuting (the already hated muslims by all Senators here mind you)the few then so be it. It's balance act that I think will work. Besides after enough revolts we just send in a colonist. Also we could use the revolts to uor advantage.
I will also address this in my official address :).

Thanks for voicing your concern though.

Ok, Now that I'm dead and gone, I'll start posting as Carolus Rex II, son of the great Generalissimus.
I'm still the Senator of Milano, right?! :) (Pleeeaase!!) :D

Y'all can still refer to me as CR, Rex or whatever, I'm just not great general anymore, though I have been taught the same things as Robert McCollum, as I have followed my father in many wars and seen a lot of action. But, I'll start out as a new kid on the block, working my way up.

Ps. I'm gone for one day and you post 4 pages or something. Sheesh!!

Glad you liked the pics boys. :D

General Antonio Storia Stood at the podium and gazed out at the faces before him. His bronze weather beaten face was impossible to read as he stood there waiting. It had been a long time since he had felt the ornate marble of this for him sacred auditorium beneath his feet. He waited for the senators to settle in and quiet down before he started his speech. The voices slowly died to a faint mummer as the senators realized that he was waiting for them. A few coughs from the back of the senate floor and then silence. Antonio wondered if this is what it felt like for a maestro on opening night with a new symphony before the nobility and powerful men of Italy. He raised his arms and began to speak.

"Senators I walked into this honored assembly as a General when I leave I will once again be a senator. I have learned as a general not to waste time as it can cost lives so without any of the flowery turns of phrase that I sometime have been known to partake in I will focus on the problems before us. First my sincere admiration and respect for Doge Misha and what he was able to accomplish in very difficult times. The nation has expanded in more ways that I can recount thanks to his steady and sure decisions. I have complete confidence in his replacement Doge By-Tor and look forward to working with him in the years to come."

Storey pauses for a drink of water.
"As to the murder of our beloved and revered Carolus Rex it would seem that the evidence thus far points to Spain as the villain. England and Austria seem to have wanted to humiliate Carolus Rex not kill him. Spain on the other hand has called for his head and employed experts on assassination from the Palatinat. Unless other information comes to light I would have to say that Spain is number one on my short list of suspects. If it turns out to be true I would advise not going to war at this time but simply waiting for the right moment to extract our revenge. After all our memories are long and our blades are always sharp."

The senate was still silent which had to be a record Antonio mused.
"As to the monument for Carolus Rex I vote yes. As to senator McCollum ideas on the rights of those we have included in our country I think we should extend the rights to all so that they will see themselves as part of our family. And what do I advise our new Doge to do? Two things. First PEACE! Second mend our alliances to the our utmost abilities. All it will take is for one or more of our allies to abandon us and we will be in a most difficult situation. I will wait till later to address the other issues that we face until I can rest at my villa on the Tiber here in Rome and recover my health."

Senator Antonio Storia leaves the podium while a growing wave of applause builds from the ranks of senators throughout the senate chamber.

Warspite don't spilt the threads yet. It would probably be too confusing to try that right now. Besides it's all your fault. :D You keep introducing more and more stuff (murder mystery) into this aar.

And to answer your question General Antonio Storia has come home to stay. His days of exploring are over. (His feet hurt) I think he has earned his rest.;)

I agree with everyone else who has been saying, "Dont' split the thread!". It's hard enough keeping track of this thread AND ignoring two other aar threads at the same time :D but having to read 4 or 5 different threads to figure out what's going on would be impossible. And I couldn't keep them all open in just one little IE window while I'm playing EU.

hmmmm, overwhelming senate vote to keep it one thread and not to split, i was sure you guys were getting tired of the long thread. Im more than happy to keep it the way it is for now. yes the mystery thing was my idea for some off the beaten road fun, but maybe i should have made just that a seperate thread. anyways, theres your latest clues:) deliberate and discuss as much as you want but i will accept only xanadus final answer when he is ready. if he is right to all three (A/B/C) italy gets a free 100ducats for success. If he is wrong though in any one of them, the shame will cost Italy 500ducats, country is too rich as it is :D kidding.
