In england, the Naples army of only 6000 men was led to the west coast by Gen Sharur. It was there that Admiral Lomellini was waiting to recover the beaten army and take them back to Oporto.
News comes out of Rome that the new Doge Giovanni Gronchi has disolved the Republic and enacted the name of Roman Empire to Italia, he there after claimed his right to first Emperor Augustus Mariani, this was met with fierce opposition from the senate even though the new Emperor promised to uphold the Republican traditions of government.
FEBRUARY
Settlers proudly announced that they had built the city of Nova Luca in the territory of Bangor. Now that makes two cities in North america, Bangor and Nova Scotia states are cities now.
In Thuringen 11,000 remaining german forces who were retreating from Baden, were engaged by Gen Bragadin. In just a few days the entire german army was completely destroyed and Austria stood alone now in the war againt Italy, Poland, Hungary, and Bohemia.
Emperor Augustus Mariani accepts the terms of the senate upon news he may be impeached. The republic of Italy is reenacted and the Emperor takes on the title of Doge Giovanni Gronchi once again, the doge now appealing to senate for support and understanding. Though suspicions lingered, the power of the senate and the laws of power control prevailed and stability in the country was maintained due to the political situation being dealt with in Rome and with the Senate. (no stability hit because the system worked exactly like it should, well done senate and good to see you worked it out jeep, had jeep not backed down and a power struggle ensued or impeachment taken place, you would have then seen a stability hit, cool? good!

MARCH
The bohemians even though they had no desire to cooperate with the Italian allies, began to siege austrian state of Ostmarch, they hoped to capitalize on the crumbling austrian war effort.
The Polish tried to make gains in Presburg however their plans were foiled when the smaller austrian army led by Gen Franz-Josef routed them soundly. It was said that Franz Josef was an even better general than Bragadin of Italy. Austria flaunted this but it did them no good.
APRIL
Gen Bragadin ends the siege in Thuringen after taking the castle there. Ambassador Vincent forces the prince there to terms set down by the Doge to force them to convert their state religion to catholic. With thuringen now a catholic country general bragadin marched to the south to secure bavaria.
In austria, even though the combined forces of Poland, Hungary and Bohemia sieged austrian land, Franz josef was able to keep Austria alive in the war but they were definately losing ground slowly.
MAY
While Gen Bragadin made sure no germans or austrians tried to hamper the siege in Ansbach. Gen GRex and Robert McCollum joined forces to finally bring ansbach to surrender. This forced the Bavarian King to terms layed down by Italian war Ambassador Vincent. The terms were simple and forced upon Albrecht. Bavaria was now a vassal of Italy and had to pay reperations and tribute to the Doge in Rome. this brings great wealth to Italy.
The english were all pretty much defeated in north america. However England refused to give Micmac for peace even though Italy had burned every trade post england had there.
JUNE
Franz Josef once again helped keep the invaders away when he led his smaller austrian army against the combined army of Poland and Bohemia in Ostmarch. After a brutal battle the austrians routed the allies and tried to secure the front. More assaults were coming though.
Italy continues its war against Indian tribes of north america with the help of its ally the Iroqi indians. this time Italy invades the tribal nation of Eire and kills their braves. Settlers were sent to establish an Italian trade post there.
Doge Giovanni puts his first major state policy into motion by changing the budget to 90% trade technology and also spending over 5000 ducats on a refinery in Modena/Pica/Naples/Sicily/Cyprus/Cyclades. This as part of his trade program to boost tax revenue and trade income for the treasury. The refineries were placed in states with grape products so that would also increase tax revenue by a total of 72ducats more a year.
The sultan of the Ottoman Turks send an insult to Doge Giovanni for submitting to the senate and surrendering his idea for the Roman Empire. They at first thought he would be a strong emperor and was a man of honor but now they call him the coward of the country and refuse any letters with his seal.
