Will BBA fix the problems with Italy on phoney war and with vichy?

Italy only joined WW2 after France was beaten, but in Hoi4 it joins immediatly after danzig or war. That isn't historically accurate.

Conquering South France as Italy isn't interesting at all, because of Vichy event. Even if you take all this land, Germany will form Vichy and the italian player loses everything. So, will this be addressed?

This is meant as a dev workaround for AI GER being unable to beat France without aid from Italy. The issue is one of release day six years ago and hasn't been helped at all. Even more so by putting AI UK on production and researching ahead steroids some patches ago. They (along with France) totally outproduce AI GER on more modern FTR assets, resulting in a quick AI GER defeat in the air - and on the ground since UK has no problems to field twice it's historical army by that time (which gets doubled again by around 1941).

You can easily reproduce that issue by playing ITA and staying neutral in a historical manner.

Description is based on not using NSB but i doubt that this does actually change anything about that. Producing useful tanks hasn't become any easier with it - especially for AI - and the thing mostly is an air war matter anyway.

Workaround for ITA players wanting a somewhat historical ingame environment is heavily investing in (M)ARM and FTR; sending volunteers to AI GER. Not an elegant solution but a workaround for an long-untended problem.

Yes, but it should probably be changed to Italy not joining until the capitulation of Poland and some of the low countries.

And here precisely lies the problem.

All the AI's within a faction issue call to arms requests to any faction member that currently has not joined the ongoing war(s).

And, as far as I can tell, AI's always honor such requests.

When I play Germany myself, I always keep *all* my faction members out of the war for as long as possible. Because allowing even one into the war opens the flood gates, and a day later all faction members are participants in all wars. I want Italy to stay out of the big war at least into 1940, so it can execute it's little war with Greece as a regional conflict. So greece doesn't join the allies, allowing Italy to annex it.

The AI’s constant call to arms are always a nuisance. Especially since every single faction member can call you to arms for the same war at the same time.

Outside of the peace deal system (which is thankfully getting changed) and the impossibility to end any war without full capitulation, this is probably my biggest pet peeve in the game.

It literally makes me stop caring about the alerts by late game. It may make me forget to research something or leave some MILs unassigned, but it is better than having to delete over a dozen alerts every month or so.

The AI’s constant call to arms
I have an old screenshot from a previous version of HOI4 that I was reminded of...

I was doing some fiddling with how likely it was that AI countries would respond to calls to arms. Tag-switched to Japan to see what they were doing and...

As you can see here, AI Japan is steadfastly ignoring Germany's call to arms requests, lol.

This should probably be changed to only have the war leader call in other people. It's super annoying spam as well
