Ok, so getting naval supremacy in the carribean sea was the hardest thing so far in this run.
Here is the plan for my naval invasion:
Why like this?
After I gave the invasion order on the 25.10.1943 a big naval battle happend, which I described in the Postings before. The invasion forces weren't bothered and so the first landing happened on 31.10.1943:
The first landing was one tile next to a port, because I thought the port was on this tile... Thank's UI! But I could push the coast guard back and take the port.
Other landings were succesful and so on 04.11.1943 we had already captured 3 ports.
At that moment the Tanks got the order: Capture Chicago, very agressive please! Go! Go! Go!
And on 11.11.1943 the first 12 Tanks landed on US soil.
9 days later when the other 12 of the first batch arrived, we had already overrun Georgia.
Another 3 weeks later and we have already established a nice "beachhead". The USA should have realized by now, that they have a serious problem.
But talking of problems: I realized that moment that I also have a big one. It looks like that:
Lots of german Division sailing over the Atlantic...
I need another 443 days until I research Nukes. If the Germans defeat the USA before that, my achievement is gone.
Totally forgot about that in my game plan... *facepalm*
I should maybe have waited with the invasion.
Ok 3 options now I think:
Which option should I choose? Or do you have another idea how to solve my problem?
Here is the plan for my naval invasion:
Why like this?
- I don't go north because of the bad infrastructure. I wanna land and rush and not grind.
- I don't go middle because of the heavy resistance. Lots of divisions there and a lot of navy. (There were a lot ships in the sout too.) [And a bit flavor. Feels not right to land directly in New York or Washington]
- In the south I aim directly at the ports, because I think they are not guarded. If there is resistance I can always turn aronund and think again. (Could have sent scout U-Boats to look, but was too lazy.)
- Florida has a nice Airport and I can quickly connect if I land from both sides.
- My invasion force are 6 times 2 divisions of 14/4 infantry.
- 24 Tanks are waiting in Puerto Rico. Another 24 on the way over the Atlantic.
- I have Air in the carribean but the landing zone is not in reach. Have to capture airports fast.

Ok 3 options now I think:
- Pull back out of the USA, and hope the USA can push back the few Germans. Research Nukes and do the Invasion again.
- Stay in the USA but don't help the Germans, maybe even stall them (I could put useless troops that just eat support into the USA. Any other Ideas?) and hope the USA holds until I have Nukes. At that point attack again.
- Kill the USA, give Los Angeles to Germany in the Peace Deal, research Nukes, declare war on Germany, get the achievment by nuking german Los Angeles. (Risky because you never know what happens at a peace deal)
Which option should I choose? Or do you have another idea how to solve my problem?
