It should take some time for diplomats to reach their target countries

You know, when we initiate a diplomatic action with another country, diplomats are able to start/do this diplomacy (improve relations, send gift etc.) immeadiately. But it we recall them (or, when do finish their diplomacy), it takes some time to return to our country. I propose that diplomats should take some time to travel to target countries for conducting diplomacy, just like return travel. I think this action will increase historical accuracy of the diplomats. Because, historically, diplomats required to travel to other countries *before* they do their jobs. Merchants work like this way in the current mechanics, when they are assigned to trade nodes. They travel to that node first, then return if they are re-assigned to another node

What I try to mean is; let's say you are going to send a gift to another country and that country is 15 days away. When you click on "send a gift" button, your diplomat firstly travels 15 days, then delivers the gift instantaneously and return in another 15 days. It should take total of 30 days to complete his missions, rather just 15 days (as in the current mechanics).

They removed the 1 day diplomatic delays for game balance reasons and removing exploits. You used to be able to prevent a country's allies from joining their defensive war if you could 100% blockade them on the day you declared war. That would reduce their warscore to -25%, which was enough to prevent them from calling their allies to arms. In theory, this would make sense, but it would create delays for allies joining wars, which could create all sorts of exploits and derpy behavior. There would be a delay between a war declaration and the war actually starting, and a further delay for when allies join the war, and another delay for the subjects of allies to join the war.
