What is the smallest nation that anyone has conquered the world with?

I don't have one because I tend to get bored with the game after all the major nations have been conquered but I assume not all of you are as attention deficient as I am.

Well, like you I have never "conquered the world". In general there isn't enough time, and anyway the fun is gone long before you finish. That said, the smallest nation I have ever gone on a "romp" with was Finland. And that only worked because I allied with Germany and made sure I was the first one to Moscow so I would get the Soviet stockpile. It was tricky, too, because I had to approach Moscow from the north, letting the Sovs keep an intact western front with my allies, in order to avoid the Germans coattailing in on me. By the time I quit in late '46 I held a very healthy chunk of the USSR and had annexed Turkey, Persia, Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia and puppeted Portugal (sorta). I also held almost all of India and most of the islands in SE Asia (except the Japanese ones and the Philipines). It was the slow, dreary slogging to get into China that finally wore me out and made me stop...that and the fact that I was out of manpower and struggling to keep partisan activity down over that vast area. Toward the end I estimate my garrison units outnumbered all others by around 8 to 1. My actual "attack" forces were really quite small by normal game standards. It was mainly a "leverage" approach to world domination.

Well, not the world, but i conquered whole sothe and half middle america (till mexican border) as Argentinia.
And once, I conquered whole south eastern europe, italy, romania, turkey, and a lot in sothern russia with Bulgaria.
Guess I can do much more now, since i have learned to use nasty CAS
